I wonder if Killa would be interested in a night on the piss...
Sounds like you are at a loose end... This blessed weather has potentially ruined my plans for tonight's game. Since when did it rain in Sydney? It's like the old days before the drought. In my apartment block (of 6 units) we get together with the TV out in the back garden and have a BBQ. We have 2 lots of poms, one lot of kiwis, one lot of renters who never socialise, and 2 lots of Aussies. I'm

Foul whisperings are abroad: unnatural deeds Do breed unnatural troubles: infected minds To their deaf pillows will discharge their secrets. More needs she the divine than the physician.-- Poor Wombie, uneasy is the head...

MacJaws Three witches on the moors Killa stirred the pot. “When shall we three meet again? In thunder lightning or in rain?” Harel pursed his lips. “When Hurley’s done, when the battles lost and won”. “Where the place?” asked Ginata. “Outside the cafe”. “There to meet with MacJaws”. “I thought he was Jaws?” said Ginata. “Yea well, MacJaws sounds more sophisticated somehow…” “Since whe

Wombie, can I say that your tussle with vincible has been a really fun sideshow recently. It's like an arm wrestle between masters of the art. My last game didn't add many points to my score...a bit of a disappointment. I'm bored tonight too. Just finished Planet of Adventure (Jack Vance). A wonderful author with a very rich vocabulary and a wry sense of humour. Maybe I will try to stir Jaws again with the rugby or the Royal family. How cool would it be if our Head of Stat

Um, I always pick the evil random choices at planetfall, so I can't recall the good choices... But, is there a good random choice that decreases PQ ? That is, could it be that the aliens colonise a PQ15 world and their good morality choice means that the PQ is reduced to PQ14 or PQ13? :notsure:

Stydracos, poor Evil Steve has been accosted before about the use of 'ANZAC' in a game setting. I've got my fingers crossed that you guys can come up with a more appropriate name like, say, the Aussie Empire. Keep the pressure on him to change the name! ;)

Jaws, I must apologise for stirring you up. I realise how seriously you've been following your rugby, and how much it means to the Brits in general to win the Rugby World Cup. I'll say no more till next week. Samurai Ben, I must read the Bronte sisters one day: I only get my classics from British series, or Kate Bush songs.

Morning Jaws. I forgot you are a rugby follower...
and field goals killa... And remind just how many tries did Australia score? not including a lucky intercept
I was under the impression that a try was a try was a try.
Can't wait for Saturday... Bring on the Wobblies
Methinks you're trying to be provocative. I'll turn the other cheek and say, go the flowers. And Wombie, that was a joke about Jane Eyre.
Well, they've already sent a prince out here to support the Poms. The only fair thing to do would be to send down another royal for the green and gold facepaint treatment
That's why I asked: the cameras showing the Prince getting excited over penalty goals. Then I thought, the next time Australia has a referendum to ditch the European monarch, all the Republicans need do is show the British royal family supporting England against Australia. Sport will sway the masses w

I know I shouldn't comment on a story after the fact, but the last paragraph looks very confused. It was actually a game of snap being played at the same time as bingo, at the same time as the conversation... Thanks Wombie, I tried a gigantic map just to see how close I could get to 60,000. But it was like putting pins in my eye for the last 5-6 hours.

“So what is the raison d’etre of the Special Forces?” “So what is the raison d’etre of the Special Forces?” asked the European Alliance diplomat. Wild peered at the diplomat uncertainly. “The purpose. Its goals”. “Ah. Well, perhaps before I answer your question I should show you the Forces. Fortunately, tonight our entertainment officer has organized a rather fun evening. We’ve been looking forward to this for some weeks”. The diplomat shoo

Jedi Captain Mayito, we all have bad hair days and can all write things that we would rather we had not. But you seem to be having a few too many 'bad moments' lately. You obviously enjoy Galcivia and chatting to people, so don't burn those bridges. In my experience, things written in anger never lead to positive results.

Well my powers of prediction are woeful. I watched the game with several Brits (who were supporting the All Blacks) and their faces when the Wallabies won... They were not looking forward to going to work on Monday and having to deal with their Aussie workmates. Especially, of course, if England doesn't win tonight!!!!! Everyone I have spoken to now wants England to be in the Final, perhaps because we love our English mates...I dunno.

Life in the Slow Lane Part 1 Cypher Pax and Jaws laid down heavy suppressive fire at the entrance to the town garrison. Killa Koala and Wild Wombat stole vehicles from the motor pool whilst Quack and Hurley tried to persuade the townsfolk to rise up in a vicious uprising. Cypher and Jaws retreated. The Euros were in for a long night of hit and run guerilla tactics. Soon the Euros called in reinforcements from the Starbase. Now, the Special Forces could h
