Congratuz Jaws thats a milestone (or is it a millstone) I can never remember which . . . hehe.

I just strated a full-time job (3 mth contract) don't think I'll be playing anywhere near as much as I'd like, but that's never stopped me before! :)

Actually I'm really holding out for the 1.12 patch . . . like everyone else I guess . . .

It's cool people - hey, now we're only 61000 behind the wizards! I'm playing other stuff at times to spice things up too; Tron 2.0 is a blast (especially if you remember the original movie) and I've even booted up Diablo 2 to check out the 1.10 patch.

Great work Toothy One!! :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT:

Well, back up to work, another day, another dollar. Jaws, thanks for the info on rugby. For all the stateside folks, don't forget to catch the Clemson-South Carolina game this Saturday in Columbia, SC and help pull the Tigers through; a win will probably secure a Peach Bowl bid.

On a galciv note, the contractors killed the power to the side of the house where the computer is (we are adding on to the house) and I didn’t get it back up with extensions cords until Sunday afternoon. No playing time what-so-ever. Hopefully that will change this week if work will (please) ease up on me.

Good morning!

Still far away from Chiacow with 170, but getting there. LOL

I knew they had been there as there are some great photos of Diggers in slouch hats in front of pyramids etc.

Here's a bit of creepy trivia for you. Are you thinking of the photo where the diggers aren't just standing in front of the pyramid, but sitting on its layered steps? A couple of the diggers in the crowd were actually dead, and just being propped up by their mates.

Have to share this with you guys

"Men are like wine. They all start out like grapes, and it's our
job to stomp on them and keep them in the dark until they
mature into something with which you'd like to have dinner
with."

And now, for the male response:

"Women are like wine. They all start out fresh, fruity and
intoxicating to the mind and then turn full-bodied with age
until they go all sour and vinegary and give you a headache."

I do have a funny story though concerning a trip to Denmark...

When I was in England I used to wrk for DFDS which is a Danish Company that does passenger ferries across the North Sea as well as freight. I used to run the Company soccer team which wasn't a bad team and we decided to do a small tour to Esbjerg in Denmark. The trip didn't cost anything all provided by the Company.

So we Steam off one Thursday night and arrive in Esbjerg the next morning and do a bit of the sightseeing thing. Not much to do in Esbjerg except drink Carlsberg and take a look in the shops that we didn't have in Harwich.

Later that night we decide we will go out to a bar.. Well 17 English guys, mostly dark haired stand out like the a sore thumb amongst the fair haired locks of teh Danish. We were inundated with lovely Danish girls wanting to talk to us, and as the night rolled on certain members of our team took Anglo-Danish a step in right direction.

The next morning

One of our players had a father who was living in Denmark and over the years had been living between UK and Denmark. He'd made arrangements to meet us at the Hotel to come and watch us play our first game.

This player was one of the guys who was very up front in forging the Anglo-Danish relations the night before and when he and the young lady he had been keeping company walked down teh stairs, they both said almost together "Hello Dad".

Unknown to him he had managed to pick up his half sister.

We all thought it was hilarious

Blast! LOL LOL LOL Just put it down to wishful thinking! [Iron Paw starts thinking of ways to lure Ginata and Jaws into producing thousands of maso gigantic games...]

Mayito - OK, the duel is ON! Chiacow plays mainly tiny games and generates lots of them; I had the impression that he had slowed down in recent times.

That's it? That's Denmark's contribution to world culture? A little mermaid, some plants and a beer? Heavens, at least Australia invented rugby. Or at least perfected it. Let alone Aussie Rules!

That's it ? What do you mean...beer and blond girls what else would one need :SURPRISED:

Denmark might not be a big country and we may not have done anything interesting for the last 200 years, but we still have the beer....uhmmmm..
Damn. I knew there was a Dane out there. What were the chances that Aaberg would read my little message though? Aaberg, we all love Danes and your beer and especially the Little Mermaid.

Well guys, I'm back from leave and only at page 27 of 30.

I have to say, I've quickly read the stories and the music thus far and love them all. Thanks for introducing Piers to the group Samurari.

As for the flame wars going on, one thing to say "Can't we all just get along??" :SURPRISED: :SURPRISED: :sniff!:

I will have to add to the Piers story line as well.

Cheers and Beers.

Nice story, Jaws! So, um, how many of your stories around here are "inspired by a true story" like that one? :p
Reply #746 Top
Quack.. That event really happened.. as for other stories i'll leave you to decide.. most, as I'm sure you have recognised are plagarised from either tv or film or even music.. Alas I do not your capacity of inventiveness or writing skills..

Now if you want to hear another True story just ask

Heh, I've got a fair few "drunken hooligan" stories -they're not as good as that one, though. :)

Hey, all. As I read through everything posted in the last - oh, 18 hours or so - I'm forcibly reminded that the flat Earth theory is obsolete. Such a shame - it would make things easier.

A bit of bad news, here - I'm going to be unable to post any games for awhile. My primary PC is effectively dead, and the laptop's games aren't attaching to my profile. Cari says that I'm not the only one, and that they're working on the problem. So, I'm going to have to hold off on the 1.12 update just to make sure that these old games can load, once the problem is addressed.

Good to hear from you, Piers!
