... it is 2003 and I have not even seen a game with a fixed resolution in years! ... - Quantum73
MOO3's resolution is fixed at 800x600 :D
BTW, I have not had one crash playing this game
Me neither.
Well, well. A Dark Elf asking a question... ;) Anyways, I tried MOO3 for 2 weeks, sent it back to the store and used the store credit to buy GalCiv. :HOT:
The Yor never do anything in my games
In my last game, the Yor were the superpower. They also formed an alliance with the Drengin and wipped out all good and neutral AIs...including me. :D
LOL > Anyone else get emotionally involved in this game? Yeah, but with me, it was a minor race, the I-League. So in the next game, as soon as I saw them, I crushed them...satisfaction :)
Those minor races can become very powerful. In my last game, I was in an alliance with the Torians and at one point, they declared war at the I-League. Well, those guys destroyed the Torian's and Alterian's fleet. Then they came at me and destroyed half my fleet. I had the intention of winning with military, but I had to change my strategy and I won by alliance. How can a minor race pump out dreads faster than me if they don't have any economy? How can they p
#6 Frogboy, I have v1.01a. If 2 civs are building the same galactic wonder (1 per galaxy) and 1 of them has finished it, the other is still able to build it.
When we create new civilization, maybe we should be able to write a prefix for our ships.
Thx Fredrik. I've downloaded SDC last night (took me 3 hours with cable). It's just that I didn't want to use SDC. I just want to download the pacth (v1.01a) and keep it on my hd.
Alive and kicking at 40 :D
Why not put v1.01a in the downloads section?
I got the game on march 31st. I installed it at around 8PM, applied the patch and started a game. My girlfriend came and said, "time to go to bed"... geeez, it was 1AM. ;p I had the game for only 1 day and I'm already starting to feel the effect of the *one more turn*.
I was very excited about MOO3. But when I started my first game, it felt *odd*. I tried very hard to like it but give up. I was also fortunate to be able to return MOO3 and put the money on GalCiv instead. GalCiv feels a lot more natural and the gameplay is a lot more interesting IMO.
I just got a phone call from EB in Quebec city. Looks like I'll be playing GalCiv tonight after all :D
Situation in Quebec city, One Compucenter might be getting it friday (28th). The other Compucenter shops said monday (31th). EB will be getting it April 6th. :sniff!: Looks like I won't be playing it this weekend.
Decisions, decisions. Where to buy. ;) Anyway, my local EB in Canada says 27th and they *never* missed a release date (fingers crossed).
