I wonder if they randomize the number and you got a terribly low one? Can some of the minor factions give you new spells? Maybe a Sov ability to write a scroll into your spellbook for a mana cost and a chance to fizzle... or randomly morph into another spell? Or give it the base effect but with a unique twist (like Dungeon Crawl Classics)? Seven is a bummer for sure!

I also had two singleton darkling units occupy one tactical square, but it only happened once in a single battle over two games.... I remember both bugs from E:FE and FE:LH, but thought they were corrected in 1.7 or 1.8...
Especially since only heroes can equip shields and weapons... which is also a bit odd... I wish there was an option where I could choose to make one solitary bipedal creature a hero or even more fun- the game randomly promotes one regular unit into a champion unit with a randomized skill tree. I have to say I just played and then replayed the final battle on normal (beta 4) and was pleased to see randomly chosen enemy creatures. The first battle (with wisdom selected) I faced a troll, juggernaut, darklings and trogs. The second (compassion) I faced a drake, umberdroth, urxen, darklings and trog archers. If the number of spells is limited, it would be nice if the game mentioned it so you can reallocate your mana. I clicked through a few turns before I realized my little spell counter was showing: -- [e digicons]>:([/e] I do like the randomization and some choices disappearing... makes those random finds more special!

My complaint about the fog of war is the way the terrain pops in too slowly, so I can make a unit positioning blunder. It would be nice if my unit paused at the limit of it's vision if it encounters a hostile and let me manage it's movement. If they get the "not attacked on the overland map" working for heroes and items that would be great. The FOW graphics are nice, though. [e digicons]:-"[/e] (honestly, not trying to hijack)
You can collapse items under the headings in the Crafting recipes list but the same buttons don't work under the enchant item screen. Shields are not considered armor items, not a big deal, but a little confusing. Thanks, this is a blast to play!
After the final battle between SK mage and minions, got a regular loot drop and a change in Doom tracker, but no quest summary screen.
My city was attacked by two wandering groups in succession, no archer units for the second battle. Thanks.

Also getting I have gotten a resisted then + webbed above an enemy unit and then the unit may or may not be webbed. The winter/frozen maps are very hard to see the movement grids on, is there an adjustment in the options I can make?
I will post this here as it seems related: I crafted a pair of gloves, equipped a reward unit of mounted villagers and enchanted it with "no overland map attacks" and then was attacked by a group on the map. It was in a narrow spit of land between mountain and sea. Didn't think to take a screenshot. Thanks.

Oh there is 1 more question. I can't seem to choose any of the new hero classes with my sovereign. Once he/she reaches lvl 2 I just get the the normal 5 choices. Am I missing something? Endquote.
