SINS IS 100% FREE TO PLAY ONLINE

SINS IS 100% FREE TO PLAY ONLINE

Just incase there was any confusion

I've seen this issue come up on a variety of other forums and although I know it was cleared up in the xplay thread, I am making this explicit post to help make sure it isn't missed by new visitors:

Sins costs nothing to play on-line.

Here is the xplay segment transcript:

Morgan: "This is going to destroy lives, isn't it?"

Brad: "Yea, but you won't have to pay $15 a month for the service. (i.e. unlike MMOs)."

On-line play is free, unlimited.
Please spread the word in other forums!  And use a SINS banner :P

Thanks :)

ihave played it is freeWhy did you dig up an old thread like this? It's been almost 2 months since the last reply and your message.Btw, I do not buy games that have monthly fees and I do not use multiplayer services that cost money. It doesn't matter how good the game is, I won't do it on principle.

Adding to the necro!

I will pay a monthly fee based on patches/general player support/game quality etc. If all that stuffs good, then they deserve my monies anyhow... I do think most fees are a bit too expensive tho, no more than $10 usd/mo imo.

With all the patches IC has released I would gladly pay a small monthly/yearly fee for the game(hmm, perhaps I shouldn't say that too loudly...) Hell, they're charging less to begin with than wow did and they're coming out more patches than blizzard did even @ the beginning of wow, and no monthly fees to boot, and I've had at least as much, probably more, fun with this game than I ever did with wow. I would however only pay the fee if the majority of said fee was going to the game developers, not the producers(nothing against stardock in particular, just producers in general).

I must also add that I will not buy any game that has a subscription fee. Call me 0ld sk00l, but I want to pay for a game once and that's it. There are plenty of games that I only have to pay for once, so I can easily ignore anything that is subscription based.

I never read stickies, I glance over the titles and then decide I probably know better anyway.

I'm also going to echo Hollow Man, I'll never buy a game that requires me to pay for it more than once

I see your point of view, but I stand by my comment that I will not support monthly fees, pay-per-play multiplayer, or employ other various forms of nickel and diming. That's all based on what I consider personal priorities and all the other things that require my cash. Buying gas, food shopping, paying bills/debt, paying utilities, and taking care of exotic pets is not cheap. Furthermore, I'd much rather be saving up for an RV, boat, new home, pet cage/toy upgrades, eating out, and other things rather than paying fees for games on top of buying the store box. Again, this is just my point of view and I recognize other people may be into these fees, but I'm not.

I'm not surprised about the fee. You can't play GalCiv2 online for free either. Not that I'd want to play either game online. I have trouble processing written information. ;)

Multiplayer is for LAN games chasethegoat.  What you want to do is click on "Ironclad Online" from the same main menu.  You'll then create an account and the name you would like to use.

Have fun!
