I trust the direction GC is heading (game play wise) and I like the game in broad terms very much indeed! Unfortunately this evening just like any other time I play it has crashed about a dozen times. CRASHES = NOT Much FUN at all . . . I end up too frustrated to be bothered playing more often than not lately. I really hate whinning and asking questions and posting bugs problems all the time in these forums. Eventualy I'll be ignored or told to pss-off . . . 'Why does this game crash so much!' '

Oh . . . I had a hassel uncolonizing a single planet in a system. When the colonists bugged out the whole system population would take off with them? You see I wanted to destroy the colonies but not the colonists. Fiddled around abit but couldn't find a way to select a singular planet to de-populate. Just lately in longish games (3 hours straight) GC seems to crash to the desktop more often now I'm running ver 1.05. Although I'm using Windows 2k, would I be better off using another OS for this particular application to get a bit more stability? I've uninstalled completely, reinstalled and applied the patch and Bonus then upgraded to 1.05 via SDC. So generally are there any theories regarding GC stability? I read some where it's sound related, I do get some strange clicks and crackl

Interesting problem . . . generous folks these dread lords mmm . . . I had a similar experience. Also when my debt became negative -10 000 is suddenly became +10 000, I lost the game anyway but thought I should mention this here. I am still playing version 1.04 because I keep having log in failures and can't run SDC. ;p

Hi, I'm not sure if these are bugs or not All I've been able to update to is the standard 'Bonus' Pack. a. My scout won't auto explore, (other ships won't sector scan either sometimes) b. my ship weopen/defence abilities don't seem to improve after substancial millitary research (none of the attribute change?) c. old conquered races seem to hang around, d. I can't seem to tech past Alpha Omega stuff (crashes to desktop), Thanks

I can see now that my version is 1.04. I've installed Stardock Central so shouldn't my game update (that what I read)? When I click on downloads it only offers 1.04 and the Bonus Pack after I put mu email and serial in. Wheres 1.05. Tried going to Dregnet.com or whatever its called . . . can't see any link to patch the game to 1.05?

'snap' - I was just thinking the same thing! First night I got it was a week night. Started playing and then realized it was 5.30 am! That has never happened to me ever before I swear . . . My productive capacity the following day at work was 'minimal' :)

Hi, sometimes my science verse and other ships won't do what thier told to do like auto scout and auto attack. When I come back to them a few years later they listen again? Anyone had this happen to them? :)

Yes thats right. You see I managed to balance a game I was playing to see how far the technology extended . . . and was amazed at how far it actually did go. I'd like to see a panel in Base stations where you could switch things on and off like cultural influence (close down the shopping mall etc etc ). I mention this because I had a base sitting in the middle of a galaxy and I was trying to tech up to Alpha Omega but the planets I kept giving away to another rac (to prvent a cultural victory hence ending the game) kept rebelling because of the Base stations effect. I admit it I am a dumb cow! Can I ask some questions? What have I done wrong? I install the game (ok so far but the game runs bad and crashes and some options seem to be missing) so I go to the website and see a "Bonus Pack" Yeay! Hi thanks for your advice all. However, I have a newd problem now, I guess this is the place to post it. When I'm researching Alpha Omega really late in the game and I get Morality Senarios coming up the game crashes (just disapears/: ). I've tried reinstalling and the latest Bonus patch but the saves (of which I have 2) still fluff-up. I appreciate the extra work going on to fix things . . . this is a truely awsome game! I've been having a consistent crash while researching Alpha Omega . . . when one of those morality test type of situations arise it crashes the computer whithout exception (you know the ones gives three options/alternatives). Tried restarting, reinstalling and everything else . . . Agggrr! (:(

um. Me is biggest newb but have querrie? I've installed the latest bous pack and the patch that goes with it. When I get to the end of the game the e-mail to which the score is to be sent is wrong. I* have Down loaded the Civilizations software too/ regitsered etc etc. Also sometimes at the end of the game the score doesn't even come up? This made me cross becauses I actually won a game the other day on Sub-normal medium (which is my best victory so far). Thankyou all for any advice or comment .

There is no air in space hence no kabooom! But the little spark . . . well thats silly. A super Nova (star explosion) should make night seem like day to near stars!

Thanks for the advice, you guys were right . . . saving and then reloading fixed it! This is a great game but after running it for more than a few hours some of the graphics (anti-matter drones, ships etc etc) seem to disapear until you save and restart. I'm running OS Windows 2k, 2GHz CPU, mofo computer 1Ghz DDRam etc, and this happens on a medium map . . ? One question though . . . I downloaded and ran a patch update (the one you get in the bonus pack), is this the latest on
