Please Explian . . .

I admit it I am a dumb cow! Can I ask some questions?

What have I done wrong? I install the game (ok so far but the game runs bad and crashes and some options seem to be missing) so I go to the website and see a "Bonus Pack" Yeay!

This "Bonus Pack" apparently contains the fixes for my problems, which indeed it does! What if I'm not on the internet? Just bad luck I guess . . . however I digress sorry . . .

Ok now I see theres an extra feature I can install called Stardock Central, kewl I download and install that. But the e-mail regarding setting up the internet account hasn't arrived so I get impatient and submit my registration and set up a membership here anyway. A day later the Stardock e-mail activation thing arrives. I understand that this should update my version of the game automatically and post my scores or something? Is that right? Because the only section I've found that has and "updates" I've seen here is in the Downloads section to the left. But wait I've already installed that. Everybody else is taking about fixes and patches that I can't seem to find 1.05. bla bla etc . . . Agggrrr . . .

I am a dumbie and so confussed. What do I do? Unistall and then reinstall the game completely and just start over ? ? ? Will that cause problems with my registration of the product?

Oh by the way having a game that runs without the CD in the ROM Drive is a "MASTER STROKE" totally great fantastic and the way all games should be. Now if I can just figure out all this other stuff I'd be 'all kewl and mellow again' :notsure:

Oh yes I almost forgot, Scenario, is there an ingame senario . . . reading some of the post here leads me to think there is but I can't seem to find it, do I need to Download that as well?

I dont know that it autoupdates or anything, but if you click on the Drengin.net tab, you should see Galactic Civiliations. Just click that and then update, to update Galactic Civilizations.

To submit your highscores, you need to go to www.galciv.com, click on the Metaverse Button, and then at the top, click the link to register your player with the Metaverse..

As to posting your scores, make sure you have a connection established at the end of the game before you post your score. You will get a prompt to submit your score at the end if the connection is there. Just fill out the information and click submit and you're good to go.

There's no in game scenario as such other than that its you and 5 other civs vying for control of the galaxy, via through military, technical, political (read Alliance) or cultural means.

I hope this clears some of it up
