Sadly, there is no set mod folder that you can copy file too that will automatically work. You need to download the mod and read the readme file in order to determine where the mod should be placed. This usually answers the question.

Yeah, I want to know how to accomplish this too.
How do I find the race configuration screen? How do I modify planet quality?
Provide a feather for automatic launch for all planets! I REALLY want this.
I am wondering if thereis some cheat that will allow us to modify planet quality? If so, how do we do it? Please be specific.
I'm 57 and was one of the original playtesters for Dungeons and Dragons.
I have inserted the word "cheat" at the end of the GC2.exe line , and the cheats worked fine. I upgraded to 1.2 , and the cheats aren't working. Anyone else have this problem all of a sudden.
Interesting idea. HOWEVER, if there is an exploit, who cares? This is a single player game and not an online game. If you don't want to take advantage of the exploit then don't do it.
In picking skills for custom races, we can get improved planet quality. I think for a whopping 8 points, we can get a 10% increase in planet quality ( or is it 20%?). Anyway, is it worth it to get this improved PQ?
I am not sure exactly what increased planet quality does? Is it worth taking as part of your skill picks for custom races?
It has been recommended on this forum to lower taxes in order to have a fast growing population. Why is this so good? I can understand why we would want a large population for colony ships, but our home world has more than enough population. Thus, what is the benefit of a larger population?
How do we access the debug file and post it on here?
We have two dell inspriron 6000 laptops with 512 MB of RAM , and we are always crashing with this game. We have uploaded the latest video drivers to no avail. They are 1.8 GHZ in speed. Any suggestions? Maybe this game just can't run on a normal notebook. I also have a Dell XPS, which has a regular Intell chip installed, and the game works fine.
It is very annoying, not to mentined a waste of time, to have to go to every planet and launch a ship on a planet-by-planet basis. There should be an option to launch a ship when deveoped.
I see a bunch of trade goods that I can research such as Aphrodesiacs, diplomatic translators etc. These are quite expensive to research. What go do they do?
I have strong espionage and supposedly have a high penetration of races. However, when I go to the foreign race screen, I can''t see any technologies to trade. Is is that I am that far ahead and have everything? What do I do?
We have the ability to deveop trade products such as Aphrodesiacs etc. What are the trade pruducts used for and how are they used?
I am finding two problems: 1, I have research large and massive hulls but only see the same sized hulls in my shipyard construction menu: 55. What am I doing wrong? 2. I have moved transports full of people and soldiers to planets of minor races but can't seem to invade them. They don't have any ships guarding them that I can see, and I have researched planet invasion. Is this a bug? 3. How do I go to the next ship to see if it has movement points left? Is there
I am amazed at what happened in MOO3. Here you have a great name brand with MOO1 and MOO2. All the developers needed to do was to make MOO3 evolutionary and not revolutionary. They just needed some more research skills, more races, maybe a twist or 2 in ship design and items and that's it. It would have had raving fans and lots of sales. IN fact, even better, they could have had downloadable updates for new races, research etc and got some money for this. So what did they do? They made a complet
I still would like someone to make some nice modules that will significantly boost the economy. Maybe a moduale that cuts the cost of all buildings by 10%, 25% and a whipping 50% would be the best solution.
Making enough money in this game is a long, hard and frustrating. We rarely seem to make enough money to pay for4 all the nice stuff. Can some nice people make some mods that substantially increase the money generation over what has been created? Yes, I have downloaded the latest mods and these still aren't enough. Maybe you can add silver, gold and diamond, and platnium mining that give 20%, 50% and 100% and 200% increase in treasury revenues. Obviously these would have to be added for mid

The press release notes that there are cheats in 1.09. How are they activated?
Got it thanks. I thought that I was just a bozo. No that I have done it, how do I use the cheats built into 1.09?
