Getting the new 1.09 expansion pack

I just shelled out my $30 for the new beta expansion pack and for stardock central. Yet, when I go to download it, I can't seem to get it. I have tried the seriel number on my order but the pack doesn't show up as an option. How do I get it? What am I doing wrong? Please be as specific as possible, including urls. thanks

First thing you have to do is register your Drengin subscription with Stardock Central.
Under Tools choose Register Products.
Under Drengin.net tab choose Drengin.net Subscription from the pulldown menu and then type in your Drengin serial number and press Update.
Next under View choose Show Pre-release Versions. <- This allows you to see the beta versions.
Then have fun downloading the expansion pack :D

I'm sorry I think I must have confused you even more. It looks like you're talking about www.stardock.com. You have to download an application called Stardock Central to your computer. Here is the link...

http://storage.stardock.com/files/stardockcentral102a.exe

After you install this program, when you run it you can download patches/updates including the beta expansion following the instructions I gave you.

Wait, wait...I think I know what the deal is.

(assuming you're on a PC):

1.)go to the Start button and pull up your programs.

2.)Look for Stardock Central (or it may be Stardock)

You have been going to Stardock's website...that's not Stardock Central.

Whoops! I see I wasn't quick enough!

Got it thanks. I thought that I was just a bozo. No that I have done it, how do I use the cheats built into 1.09?
I don't know where you got this idea there are cheats in 1.09. Personally I'd be suprised if the developers ever added cheats.

Stardock is exploring the idea of adding cheats.

Personally, I don't really think it is really necessary as the lower difficulty levels are already very accessible even to the complete 4x newbie.

But those that allow a player to force an event would be interesting for those who really wants to experience that particular one.

End of quote

!

I'd LOVE this to be added. Troubleshooting random events is currently nigh impossible. A mechanism to force an event to happen would be absolutely fantastic.

The cheats aren't built into 1.09 yet.  It took me a little bit longer to set up and test the option for it than I had to get it into the last build.  It's ready for the next one though.

Question:

I haven't played on anything above Tough yet, but does the AI know how to sell/disband ships if its economy gets wrecked from, say, selling it loads of techs that it can't afford?
Current game I have going has the Drengins 25k in debt, after I culture bombed them to giving me all their planets save one, and they already had the largest military presence in the game.
Just wondering.
