oh well, if i'm a Mac zealot... i'm a Windows customizing zealot too or not? I'm happy with my Wintel, and i'm happy with my Mac. Maybe i prefer the Mac, due to intensive use on my work, but i'm using more Windows at home, due to WIndows customization, and for gaming too.

definetively, Spain is very under developed : dsl basic (256 down) = 41,02 eur tax icluded cable (only internet) 300 down+cmodem rent = 39,00 eur + 16% tax In favour to cable: there's available promotions Internet+phone+TV too I'm paying a lot for a worse service

About collages, there's a reverse question: There's a great site of news about digital area. One of their authors has made an article speaking about skinners, and he puts some screenshots of: a WB skins made by Adni, a wallpaper created by Lecrayon, and some of the Mormegil's icons. We -the skinners- are uploading our works in Wincustomize with this knowledge: we give permission to Wincustomize and Stardock to redistribute our pictures, and them -WC,Std- protects our intelectual rights.

ok, ok. I'm a dsl user because i have no other alternative to get a fast connection. Maybe the Cable are better, i can speak about it without knowledge. But, if you campares the same features (in speed -256 up, 128 down-), the prices are very very lower for dsl; i'm basing an Spain prices, and maybe in your country are different. Anyway, in dsl or cable (or satellite or electricity, or radiofrequence) the only one way that i don't recommend to connect to internet is the modem.

I can have cable connection in my zone, so i use dsl. I'm in a very small town, ind i thought that (maybe) dsl connections are not available for me. But i can! I have a dsl connection that works very well. It auto configures himself (the router and dns) an my computers, a Mac and a Wintel. It NEVER unsynches, always 25-30 real kb/seccond (12-13 down). very interesting thread. It's about skins/styles legacity or about skins/styles honor? I find some 'very exagerated' rips in other sites (pixel by pixel), exagerated style copies (specially by Adni and Windows/Aqua styles), and enhancing/complementing others creations/styles (AKA JamesT icons, icons/skins with glass effects, etc.). Motion, it's YOUR CLIENT wich wish a copy, not you. And US (the creators) when are creating some new design.. are really CREATING A NEW DESIGN?<

The usual ways to change icons in OSX are: -For a individual icon, selct object properties (cmd+I); on that panel appears at top a square with a picture, click on it and 'paste' a previuoes coppied image on the same panel. -Use ResEdit to change internal resources on a Mac file, select the picture resouce and paste a picture (don't need to be a icon, but better if it is). I checked the USB Apple keyboard just before i post my last comment, and don't works in WIndowsXP. But i can search if there's any driver for WInXP; it will reduce the USB mouse and keyboard connections to only one USB connection (Mac keyboards have two USB connections). Now the 'smalls' problem it's: wich is the function of 'command/apple' key in WIndows? If there's a solution to make this key as a 'Windows Ctrl' it will make my life much easier (comd/apple key is in Win 'ALt' position)! M

Yes! switching using the same 'input/output/ devices it's a good idea! -I will purchase a new monitor (to get best refresh rate), and i can get a USB monitor. Now, i'm also using Linux OS, so i need to check first if this kind of monitors are covered by Linux.
