I would love to see peoples hangars. My hangar is still mediocre, but with an Aurora LX (anniversary sale thank you), 325a (Won that ship in a tournament battle contest... pure luck), Omega Mustang (can't wait to FLY this one) From the vids of the gladiator I soooo want to sit in it.

This is awesome stuff. Time to delve into Sorcerer King over the holidays.
I did like your rivers HF. The river endings have always been a little problem. The visuals on the cloth map look odd. Be even nice if there were river crossing that we placed in the middle, but I think that is a bit much to randomize and make it look good.
Q1: I've not been successful in spawning an army in the neighboring tile. The only thing that does this is the quest spawning... maybe you can work something with that, but I don't think so... Q2: Are you not able to place the prereq of the faction in the gamemodifier for level ups? I thought this would work. Otherwise, I do believe you can set up different building styles and have different upgrade paths after the first city level-up by using the RaceConfig files. Set
I was familiar with biome because of Sim Earth not Minecraft. All a university did was confirm that my video games, I played a long time ago, did their homework. ;) (Oh and filled in a few gaps) I think Sorcerer king already has quite a few biomes. I have seen swamp, arctic, plains, hilly terrain, mountains... the sub-biomes would be nice to see, but I'm on the fence whether I would want it in the game.
Is it the spell of making or the spell of destroying?
Do not fear me... this is making a new beginning against the old problems in this broken world. I'm only destroying things that are having a difficult time surviving. Think of it as pruning a bush. Some branches are never going to survive and will only cause problems in the future. I am making those branches into something useful. You do want to be u
I'm excited to see this today... had to call in sick just to do it ;)
"Here take this flaming fireball from my hand... it won't hurt... much." - SK For some reason, I'm reminded of the time somebody tried to offer me candy from inside a car as I was walking home from school.
Well, that is a funny example. I guess we are going to die by the Sorcerer King anyway, so why fight him now.
I can't wait for the implementation of random maps for the game. That will open up the game immensely.
I look at this as more RPG questing 4x style. You have to defeat the big bad boss at the end and to do so you must travel across the land recruit allies defeat monsters and ultimately build a force to defeat the SK. So if you take the idea of looking at any sort of RPG and examine this game through that lens then you may start drawing parallels. If you really like RPG games, then this game strokes that side of gaming at the moment. I currently see a 4x style in there, but I don't
It is always fun to make spells that destroy the world... in interesting ways. Are there chasms in this iteration?
You would have to edit the save files directly here as the save file holds all the data. But the save file needs to be decoded for you to make these edits and we have never had these tools.
I would rather a fatigue mechanic than an initiative penalty. Heavy armor doesn't necessarily make you move slower, but it will make you get fatigued quicker. In other words, each time the heavy armor character has a turn there is a penalty for initiative for the next turn. So as the battle wanes on, the heavy armor character becomes less and less effective. I.e. battle initiative 20 to start. First round initiative down to 17, second round initiative to 14... third round initiati
The problem comes from the fact that the world had just survived a cataclysm. FE and LH... then it was in a war for many many years until the SK finally won out. The land is COMPLETELY war torn, I would not expect to see much life in the land... and I would like to see as the doom counter increases what life is around is slowly sucked away.
If you like the way they all fly a little bit differently, try playing with the weights. Putting heavy guns on the hornet's wings for example makes it fly differently then when they're closer to the center, even more so when one of the wings get's blown off and the center of mass changes making the thruster positions far less effective. I once had to ram my ship into the terraformer to break off the other wing just t
I must say that the 890 looks great although I cannot justify the $600 myself. Flying other ships beyond my Aurora has brought into the play that the way each ship flies is completely different and you have to learn how to fly each ship separately. I find that the hornet makes destroying stuff rather fun and easy. Almost makes me want to upgrade my Aurora to something a little more "shiny" That cutlass commercial knocked it out of the park for me... I always wanted a cutlass,
The question of why there are so toxic is legitimate. I think there is just a lot of anger out there.. Worse, the trolls are now empowered. Get one of them angry, and they can write a negative review. As for my participation, all I can say is that when I get done reading them I don't want to work on the game. i'm very familiar with many techniques of trying to consciously change my mind on such things such as at least I hav
I missed that in the changelog. So does this 20% off only works in their territories? Is it a particular ability or is it hard-coded?
No there is no way to do this. Even Frogboy has mentioned that he would have liked to see this implemented, but it was not possible. I can't find the post that says this, but I wanted to do something similar with discounting and making things cost more when you purchased from other factions.
The timer is not a linear growth. If you manage to save a few shards, you should have a longer game than 200 turns. I find it fast in the beginning and slows down thereafter. But turtle defense is really not an option in this game. It forces an aggressive stance.
I like Sir Kael. he is the Perfect unit to cast sovereign spells. He is a single fighter that doesn't do much damage compared to the soldiers, but he can sit back and cast sovereigns spells without me feeling like I'm wasting a heavy hitter on a spell. So, in essence :) he is my most powerful character. Always sad when he kicks the bucket.
