Yea, I made the mistake of coming here and reading the forums and all the salt. I read somewhere about an update to allow playing as the other factions, improving modding, etc. Don't know when that will be released though. I understand after the holiday the devs deserve family time, so I hope come feb or march we get some news. Also, I want to go back and play some LH 2.0, cause apparently that is live now.
