My numbers were mistakenly doubled in the first chart. An upgraded extractor produces 1.5 more units per minute, not 3. The person wo upgraded at 10 extractors will have a 900 credit advantage early game. The person who upgraded at 5 extractors will have a 525 credit advantage at the 65 minute mark. 900 credits early game > 900 credits an hour later, let alone 525. This is assuming: 100% a
If it takes you ten minutes to go from five mines to ten mines in a relatively smooth progression, you've made up half of your payback time. If you wait until achieving those ten mines and do so in the same manner, you're not maybe a minute behind, you're seven and a half minutes behind.
That is correct, 7.5 minutes behind... That = 90 crystal and 90 metal you forfeit in favor of a 600 credit, 50 metal and 100 crystal advantage early game. 600/50/100 early game i

Schod-the-rod:
all levels increase income by .025 per second per asteroid (5%)
.025 is 2.5% you idiot. Credits and materials are tallied twice per second. Its .05 per second per asteroid. Schod-the-rod:
(we'll go with a logistics curve of 20/(1+4e^(.0015t)) a calculator approximation of a slower buildup, maybe... I cant be very accurate here)
LMFAO! Here is the real data/analysis that Shod-the-rod here is *trying*

My point was to answer my own questions. Clearly I made a mistake by sharing these calculations. I also have calculations on trade ports, and aproximately how long they take to pay for themselves. I will not be sharing them. I will also be recalculating this and other things with data from the new release. I will not be sharing those calculations either. You can use math to accurately estimate alot of things in this game, and in this world.
Dont use counting asteroids as a way of dictating when to upgrade .
lol! Get a clue! Thats exactly where the upgrades apply! 5% of 0 is still 0! Im not dictating anything. Im showing the upgrade is a non-issue until you have extractors to back it up. I didnt read you whole post, and I will not read any more. Your argument has already been coverd in my OP.
player 1 actually makes more profit , because his upgrade effects his resources for 30 minutes whereelse players 2 upgrade only effects his resources for 15 minutes
If you dont get it you dont get it. It's all about the number of extractors. If you have 5, it will be 30 minutes before you see profit. If you have 10, 15 minutes. I understand your argument: "But If I upgrade with 5 extractors, I will still be gaining more extractors while 30 minutes expires."<b

I spent about 30 minutes researching and writing out my original post. SO I didnt spend much time on it at all. If you dont get it, good. If you think you are saving anyone from being mislead, youre the daft one. People will make their own decisions, and care not what you think. player 1: (upgrade) ===> (30 minutes) ===> Profit player 2: (15 minutes) ===> (upgrade) ===> (15 minutes) ===> Profit Even if you upgrade at 4, and continue to gain an extractor once every 5 minutes

Schod dude, you got schooled! He made you look like a total NOOB! Not only did you have EVERY advantage, you were throughly SPANKED! You had a single lane leading to your empire, and then after that was taken, you STILL had a single lane to defend. You had access to a 6th colony a full hour before Anny was able to get his sixth by converting the pirates. You also had a desert planet while Anny only had a volcanic. Not only that, but you had time to build an ABSURD amount of trade ports! Do you k

With the first upgrade: 10 extractors = 30 extra units of material per minute that you wont even see for 15 minutes. Guess what happens if you try to upgrade with half that? You guessed it... 15 extra units of material per minute that YOU WONT EVEN SEE FOR 30 minutes. Upgrade when you want. I'm giving people actual numbers to make their own educated decision. If you don't like it, go back to your crybaby Anny thread.
Mica you lack the experience nescessary to make a qualified judgement, if you accepted that and made it part of your disclaimer instead of masquerading as a knowitall I wouldnt have the slightest issue with your analysis, save that I dont agree with it. but you place things down almost explicitely as facts, the fact that you use the disclaimer of "educated guess" means nothing, as you dont have the experience to make one. You can take it or leave it, however Schod really doesn't have a point to agree with. You simply MUST have the extractors to benefit from this tech. About 10 extractors is when the bonus will be at a noticeable level, and paid off in a reasonable amount of time. I have updated my OP to sum up most of this thread as most of it is hot air from Schod.
