Thank you for the update, so this is a run entry for the same app module in two different registry keys just to be sure the process starts? It is not actually running two different bits of code/separate processes? If both run one just exits with no continued impact?

I was just trying to find out why this was and stumbled across this topic but no explanation, just a hey forget it, it is normal. Why is it normal, what is going on here that one application needs to run multiple instances of some background helper app? Just curious as I am deep cleaning a computer that has been slowly losing performance when starting apps and I am going through with a critical eye removing goop that is executing on startup so I would like to understand what i

Just letting you know it still happens on the latest Windows 11 Edition Windows 11 Pro Version 23H2 Installed on 6/1/2023 OS build 22631.2861 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22681.1000.0
It is almost like they do not listen.
Hey guys any thoughts on this it is still happening on my PC on build 22H2 22621.2428 of Windows 11 Pro.
Windows added AI Copilot in the new windows code release, the feature adds a small icon on the task bar that you can click to access the feature. This works great as long as there is at least one item pinned to the task bar or running in the task bar. I have my quick access inside Start 11 and keep my bar clean so only running programs are on the bar. Small niggling detail but if I have nothing open and want to access Copilot I have to run some program or pin an unwanted program to my ta
Not so much as a peep, Hey guys anything brewing with this possibility?
I will try but it has survived reboots in the past, the only fix is to adjust the width and then nudge the actual window back where it was as it seems the location slightly moves as well just 1 or 2 pixels, it is literally like Fences goes from thinking the windows is 400 pixels wide to 398 or so and the location is nudged a bit left or right. I mean the size difference is tiny but just enough to make the window only support say 5 icons wide instead of 6. Original size makes no difference, I
I see nothing that talks about windows resizing without user input, I will wait for it to happen again and attach a capture, but I have no faith that the beta fixes my problem, I think it will need to be looked at to figure out what is actually wrong. Dave
I understand how to do it, I am saying, is there a release notes somewhere I can review, Beta software is not something I like to install, especially on my primary work PC, it just seems unwise security wise. I read the issues reports in the forums and it seems there are numerous issues introduced and I want to be able to review what was actually fixed before I apply a dubious beta quality update. Dave
From what I can see I am on the latest release that is not still in beta testing. I can certainly do that if it really is needed, I hesitate to install any beta on my PC, I do work on this PC and generally keep to non-beta software. I cannot find any release notes for Beta 4 release, but from the issues list in forums it is not wise to upgrade yet. Is there something in release notes that leads you to think my issue will be resolved, this issue has been happening for a while now, I just got a
Windows 11, Fences Version 4 and I also use Start 11 version 1.24 if that matters. It is not happening currently and is intermittent if it does happen, I will capture images. But it literally is just the fence window narrows by a few pixels and makes the icons one horizontal column narrower making a scroll bar appear in the fence as the icons now extend another vertical row or two. <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/24/67/2467210/9e9d6fe8-a2
I notice that occasionally after playing a game my fences, which I have four of are set to roll up to the top of my 2560x1440 monitor. After exiting a game (It happens with pretty much any game) one or more of my fences will change width by one or two pixels, just enough to make the icons need to wrap differently, I size and arrange my fences to have perfect rectangles of icons grouped by types, single player games, multi-player games, utilities, and system icons. I then need to nudge the eff
I turned off the enhanced task bar and then had to turn back on hiding suggested programs and selecting the icons I wanted displayed in the bottom bar. You lose the ability to monkey with double wide taskbar and other special enhancements, but they were not in 1.11 and I never used them, and honesty do not need them so, setting it back to work like 1.11 was exactly what I wanted. The buttons I lost were the ones down here circled in red, I just had to reset them.<img src="https://cdn.stardock
I do not use, never heard of explorer patcher, and no user interface config option screen opened it just patched Start 11 and when I restarted my PC like it requested after installing my start bar was all messed up. It was odd as after turning the option off for enhanced start bar all my what is on and off settings like display control panel and what icons to add/remove and my custom icons I added for favored folders were all lost so the menu looked like unmodified Windows 11 start. So I gues
I just ran the 'upgrade option by the way, no config no nothing, just got the mail about the actual final version and clicked upgrade inside Start 11
I see what happened, the 'new' enhanced start bar setting somehow deleted all of my custom settings, I had to reset them all back up and I am back. sorry, I did not expect an upgrade to mess with and make all my carefully set settings go away.
I no longer for example have the removed favorites section, I did before, no longer have the custom Start 11 widgets for control panel and settings, tons of things are missing that were definitely there under 1.11
In fact, I know you are wrong as I was able to use the enhanced start menu mode, I just tried disabling enhanced menu and I no longer have the start 11 enhancements and I most definitely did in 1.11, so you are just wrong. You removed or broke functionality one of the two.
Then why without that change did it work in 1.11 if it did not lose functionality I am at a loss as to how anyone could say it did not lose functionality that is just a patently incorrect statement
I was using Beta 1.11 and could have Windows 11 menu controlled by Start 11 and keep menu in Win 11 mode centered. Installed the final 1.2 build today and get a message I cannot do that? Where the heck do I get 1.11 back so I can work how I want not how you guys want to make me. I hate when final versions kill the feature I use, can't you guys just leave features the heck alone my menu now looks like crap. I use widgets bar it is now mixed around my darn start menu., I hate it please make it
The ability to remove was added as I requested, it is not that I did not want the functionality of recent/favorite documents, I wanted the ability to selectively remove documents that were private like banking spreadsheets or other documents that I use regularly but do not want advertised in the start menu for anyone who I let use my computer to just immediately see. The Stardock team read and understood my actual request and put in the fix. Thanks StarDock!
Here is the info plus my available memory in case that helps. <img src
