Well, back again to old number.. I installed the last version 8.12 to discover that nothing had changed... This Windowblinds is still buggy when rolled up the menu bar still hangs out on the desktop (when I've advertised stardock about this almost one year ago...), the tray icon must be there for some kind of italian footbal team support ad the transparency is in no way handled like it was by WB7.xx as my skin clearly deosn't display the same behavior than befor

Hi, I've just updated firefox to the last number (37.0.1) to find it messed up : when I click outside the browser, the whole area housing the address bar+my bookmarks+the plug-ins area gets blank. I have to click once or twice in the main window or over the cursor upon this area to get it repaint. http://hpics.li/73338dc WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 7.42 (325 - Windows 7 Edition) - 64 bit OS <br

I'd say I concur with Kostiantyn , at least in the concept I mean.. Don't get me wrong, deskcapes is nice, even if my first attempt at an animated file got me a nice bad result. I'll have to retry ! Windowblinds is also very nice but buggy and incomplete, but I'm still using it

I've used for years and still use QCD with MADplugin, 24 and 32 bits sound decoding, the integrated crossfader and izotope Ozone for it's real time sound treatment to produce on my logitech 5.1 Z5500 and a xonar Dx a really nice sound. QDC has also some nice skins and is able to run Sonique visualizations almost like it's predecessor. And talking about skins and visualizations, nothing compares to Sonique with it's transition effect and the responsiveness of it's d

to Neil Banfield : I didn't know that asking an entity, above all a corporate one, about it's brain could be considered as an insult. If it is, I wonder what are the F...... words and many other toned ones US movies and series give us all days. Anyway... Oh, I forgot the politically correct, every one is allowed to f...... say something but outside the common place. OK, I got it ! Let's talk about th

I wonder if to be involved in a software development team, one has to have a brain...? 1/ Almost everybody nowadays owns a 4:3 for some or 16:9 monitor for the vast majority, so switching from landscape view to portrait in the main configuration window is really an improvement.. 2/ I don't know for you b ut I use windowblinds, beside it's ability to skin, to roll up windows. With this V8, using a masterskin, jakuta for example, let's roll up notepad.. or any subsystem windows.

Yes, I am enjoying Decor8 a lot, and like you, I am using the Metro/Modern UI more and more as time goes on, but not just for the new app releases, etc. I find it a handy place to store all my shortcuts and frequenly used programs. Furthermore, it is convenient and quite efficient when seeking an app for a particular job. While I have Start8 installed, I find that I am conveniently and quickly switching from the desktop to the Metro UI t

(I've not rebooted (or unload & reload windowsblind) my system yet but switching in windowsblind/settings from right-clic = roll window to right-clic = use skin settings does

I stopped using iconpackager a long time ago for it's lack of changing all icons and above all restore them : applying a package that doesn't do it's job is one thing but discovering that my icons got messy when reversing back was a major drawback !

It is very odd that nobody seems to point or care that bullshit lack of sliders on this shitty new interface layed on desktop computers : even on a phone or a tablet it is just pain in the ass swiping on and on to scroll through a blog page for example, without the help of a slider allowing to position oneself nearly instantaneously anywhere in a page ! This will be the future of the new apps running on that ugly interface...

Indeed I m eant AeroS and m y point isn't the way WB should handle shadows, i.e no option at all and let windows handle the m, I too thinks it's fine the way it is having the option to m ake m y own. What I' m saying is that the actual handle isn't quite right... Let m e

What I mean is that poor coding is never the answer ! You guys are talking about shadow managed by windows or WB but what I'm saying is that I don't get it WHY, when managed by windows (perpixel/top shadow/extra settings/enabled or disabled), there is that space between the skin and the shadow as I assume that windows might have some coordinates to draw the shadow from. Look at that skin (why some can add links and I can't ???) : <a href="http://imageshack.

Sorry, I don't get it ! You're saying that creating a blurred image the exact size or form of the skin under the skin itself is an OS limitation ? I thought coding, making software was part of the whole computer thing. Nor, nand,,, I don't remember the assembly instructions of bolean memory operations... I thought that piecing, I don't know if that word exists but isn't english language more flexible than.. french for example,, putting pieces together

And the winners are... BoXXi, Xiandi, Thanks to you both ! Unfortunately, if the blur option in windowblinds is as barely efficient as a potato on a bike, the shadow option is just.. a toothpaste made of maggots, leaving bits and pieces between the teeth ! Come on stardock, the shadow isn't even the size of the blur, nor the shape... !?! Is it possible for the customers (and the skinners) to acquire a mature product, one to, at least, be the sofware PC's s

Thank you for your input, unfortunately that's not it ! Let's test it... If I open the top Sirus skin I use every day, perpixel vertical frames doesn't show any shadow but when I enable it in WB, tadaa... Shadow everywhere ! Where is that switch ? Stardock ? Anyone ? Come on !!!
