The feature to add shadows under windows, menus, the taskbar and start menu. The same kind that allows you to add blur under the GUI, option that I'd really like Stardock to improve seriously, for Windowsblind 8 maybe ?? If a blur option is indeed a good option, one that mimic the skin is by far The solution that should exist ! I mean the blurred area to be the exact form of the skin not a rectangular one the size of the skin. I'

As a m atter of fact I did that before reading your answer, updated and rebooted for a cure of this bug. Thank you for your input !
Upon each new skin applied in windowblinds Windows switches from left handed menus (menus opening to the right of the hand) to right handed ones (menus opening to the left of the hand). The only way I found to set it up right back is to open tablet Pc settings (shell:::{80F3F1D5-FECA-45F3-BC32-752C152E456E}) then choose left handed in the 'other' pane. I suppose it could be a conditional visibility setting but I'm not sure what it would be conditioned on.
since we are on the subject of blur... does anyone know if there is a way to eliminate the blur behind the explorer background?
Isn't it that option (per pixel frames/settings/blur) that controls the entire blur layer ?
I've got this little daemon of the 6th circle, a succube named Lola that turns into an ideous toes eating creature every time she's pissed off ! (the rest of the time, she's just sucking on them) (the toes) <img style="border: 2px solid black; vertical-align: middle;" src="http://img707.imag
Thanks neone6, I've just remembered these values and checked them out but still have to test them...
I didn't try yet the others options in per pixel settings (blur rounded edge value Horz/Vert), I hope they will help a bit... Nonetheless, using the in built blur option isn't suitable for all non conventionnal skin, like... as one can clearly see the blurred layer in all non skinned parts of the windows, notably the empty parts in the simili title bar.
I am wondering how it is done... I'm walking thru the skin hoping to find out how ! Last year I've made a post about the lack of manual by Stardock, ThIS is clearly a nice demonstration of their skinners poor support !!!
I mean the blur under all the ui parts : title bar (caption), taskbar, windows sides and bottom, contextual menus.... For example, let's say that you design a skin with rounded corners for the windows and enable the blur in per pixel frames, then you'll find that the windows have squared corners blurred under your lovely round corners. If you add shadows (by yourself or using windowblinds option), you'll have a really unpleasant non pro skin : shadow + blur layer (with squ
As I am new in skinning for windoblinds, I sure don't have all the knowledge nedeed so I was wondering if there was another way to apply blur to windowblinds skins besides setting it on in per pixel frames/extra settings ? Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining but this method applies a default shape non suitable for what I'm planning.
In that department I've noticed some weird things pertaining to firefox but I just can't figure it.... It seems that this software wasn't just not enough non compliants with standards, babylon translator cannot "read" anymore inside the window but windowblinds also shows some strangeness... My system is a windows 7x64. The skin I'm working on has for now only per pixels frames set in the vista/7 part of the skin with basic (non designed yet) frames for xp part : how an
Well thank you for your time and the answers as I never tried that menu bar option. I'll have to make a right sided one to allow skin swapping per rule based in settings !
Hi, Working on a theme with buttons on the left, I found that either firefox last versions aren't handling system buttons (close/max/restore/min) in a conventionnal way or windowblinds has a problem with it. What's the answer guys ? (of course I tried others left sided buttons themes)

WHY there isn't a CLEAR, CONCISE windowblinds tutorial covering all and everything you need to know about it and above all, tricky parts like perpixel frames for instance ? Why so many skins are so boring, dull and endless clones ? No wonde
EDIT : Direct folders does work on 7ven, at least with keys combination (looking at codesector, the compatibility with firefox 3.6 is an issue but couldn't say more as I stayed with 3.5.8 to keep it working). Maybe some tester could try firefox 3.6+ and direct folders with keys combination....
