I don't know that this is a planned feature, necessarily, but the best time to make feature requests is during the pre-release phase when all of that is still being decided and worked on. I will suggest your feature request to the developers. Thanks for the feedback! Mike
Basically I just want to know what version of DX you get if you buy Object Desktop. I was also wondering about the license. It says with Object Desktop you get a 1-year subscription. Does that mean after the one year, you no longer receive updates? Or does it mean you no longer get updates AND the software you already have expires(assuming you don't renew for another year).
DesktopX 3 release and DesktopX 4 Beta are currently available. Implementing semi-transparency is trivial. You just get an image for your layer and set the opacity on it. To get a blur effect, however, this would be a lot more work. If what you want is a standard window, it's probably easier to write a plugin that spawns a window. That way, it will inherit all standard app properties and make your life easier. It's just writing all the desktopx interfaces to your window that would be additional work. What were you looking to do with this w

Unfortunately if you're tied to XP, this is your only recourse. Maybe get your parents interested in DeskScapes so you can get yourself some funding? :) Mike

Close out of the launchbar. Hold the windows key and press R. Copy/paste this in there: %userprofile%\local settings\application data\stardock\desktopx From there you can just delete the subfolders, which will essentially remove all gadget/widget/object settings, or, if you're more adventurous, see if you can find specific files pertaining to this widget and delete those. My guess is something got screwed up in the settings, which is why it's not displaying anymore. <

If you are logging in with this account, that would be the reason why they are not showing up -- you have no registrations under this account. Did you maybe have an embarqmail.com email address? If so, please use the following tool to have your accounts merged: https://www.stardock.com/support/registrations This will merge your two accounts into one so that all of your products may be accessed from a single login. If you do not have access to one of your email addresse

Or more specifically, only at the point when a registration is added to your account and it will show up within Impulse, available to download. One suggestion, be sure you enable "Show pre-release versions" within the Impulse menu (click the blue button at the top left of Impulse). This is not set by default and many people aren't even aware of it. Mike

Could you maybe provide a link to the cursor you're referring to? Are you saying that cursors are showing up within the CursorFX dialog, but that it doesn't show a preview of what the cursor looks like and does not allow you to apply it? Which OS (and 32 or 64-bit) are you running? Mike
