They announced a week or two ago that they would be ending for now. What I'm wondering if whether support has ended, and whether there will be no expansion (I'd understand if no expansion- it didn't sell well, but I'd want to know now if that's the case) Also will LH 2.0 be finished.

For some reason SK didn't take off. Maybe folks were unhappy with LH, and see SK as one too many sequels- it's Ultra Elemental Super Hyper EX Turbo plus Alpha to most folks I know. As much as I love SK, I'd understand if Stardock wrote it off, and tried a sequel in 5 years instead. I'd love to see the modern Stardock design in the Elemental world from scratch instead of dealing with the relic code and reception of War of Magic.&nb
I recommend the above. Plenty of 4X's about, not many games like this.

Shame. Sorcerer king is a game that could really use modding, moreso than Stardock's other games, because new scenarios/goodies are the lifeblood of this game.

Scrolls is going to die in a few months. Faeria was really, really good in the last beta.
100% OJ had a competitive tournament. A friend was actually in it. I'd rather play that than HS any day of the week. Then again I like that dojin games circle as well.
Maybe add those effects to his +1 spell casts. Keplin when you have shards usually has incredible init to boot so he goes first. Naphax is the weakest to me IMO, unless you want to count the Imperium and Wraith heroes, who rely on getting hit, and it's too rare for them to get hit.
Arena isn't P2W. That said, to get good enough to be good at Arena requires experience, which has to be earned in P2W Thankfully, Faeria beta next week- a game that isn't P2W. (a little bit of grinding advantage, but that's not as bad in my eyes if it's tolerable)

The bear is for early game until you get paladins and dragons. I generally don't bother building any units that aren't riders, paladins, knights in general- there's no real reason to even bother with infantry outside of what you recruit from quests.

I can say I've spotted the same behavior consistently from game to game.
I've never seen the SK use a spell, but I"m guessing that's a funfactor reason. Folks would save/reload if a random spell took out their best buildable troop.
That review is why I want to see a new SK in a few years, on a new engine. The Elemental engine had all sorts of problems.
Wellspring is the "Heal Army" spell. Can be used out of combat as well.
For DLC- quests, items, magic, units- in order of importance. Maps don't interest me- random map parts should be part of free updates. With the expansion, I'd love to see resources do different things for different factions- Wraiths would get little use for wheat, but get food from crystal, etc... I want to see more lieutenants.
