what would you like to see in a Sins expansion??

what would you like to see in a Sins expansion??

I know the game just came out less than a month ago, and for many of us who have waited for this game from way back when...all have know that there will be strong distinctive possibility that an expansion will be come out in a year or so for this great game.

Sooo...what would you all like to see for a future expansion.

Examples would be:

more different units,
different superweapons
more races
campaign mode
more special abilities
different types of planetary infrastructures
special abilitites that grants different tactictal advantages
improvement to the empire tree
3d movements in combat

etc.

List away and the devs will forsure listen. :D

FIRST: I would like to SEE something, it has to be in the works !?!
SECOND: I may be way off, but Planets need morth depth/ MAYBE land warfare

I would like to see that as an empire grew their sustainable ship numbers also grew.
More planets, more supply points for fleets. Also, once a certain number of planets were under your control it would be cool to see ultimate ships and structures come into play. Something only the ultimate empires could have.

i got another one what about a premade empire you starts with a number of planets and def and buildings.....

I think an expansion allowing you to create custom ships would sweet.

how about, for having 3different races in sins. why not add 3 different type of ship style designs to pick for each faction.

say for instance, vasari: would have 3 different style of ships to choose from. squarish looking ships, diamond stylish look or rectangular type look.

then advent: would have ovally styles of ships, circular dome looking ships or triangular type of ships.

then tec's: may have squarish type looking ships, fish aquatic types of ship to insect looking ships. this would make it more enjoyable and you probly won't be bored on same ol' looking ships all the time. although might be impossible for expansion pack but maybe on Sins 2? :)

I want to know who is chasing the Vasari.

Is it the Seraphim? Or is it QAI? ;)

-I'd like to see better AI (the AI runs away from a fight tooo early)
-More units structues etc
-New Ship types (eg. Destroyers, Corvetes, Gun boats)
-Custom ship maker/designer
-Logical structures should have lifht defenses on them (like a laser battery)
-Hero Ships which are special capitals twice as strong with better abilites
-Planet moons which can be turned into a heavy defence platform which is way stronger than small platforms
- Another faction perferably the one thats chaseing the Vassari
-Fast Forward Mode in skirmishes to help speeed up the gameplay
-Special abilities for each race (eg. Open subspace and suck enemy ships in might be an abilitie) They might be gained by gettingn experince from combat

A flak turret for planet defense would be great too, the normal defense buildings for the orbit are super useless as soon someone comes with a horde of strike-craft bombers.

There are a lot I would like to see in the expansion, but the top 3 are as follows:

(1) a new class of ships: destroyer class
- they should be the most powerful combat ships other than capital ships
- this way cruisers can perform more of a support role
- heavy cruisers can move to this class of ships

(2) new kinds of strikecfaft
- bomber/fighter hybrid
- elite fighters
- elite bombers
- must be researched

(3) super ships
- most powerful ships ever!!!!!
- latest tech
- functions like the novalith, deliverance engine amd the kostura
- the ships act like mobile super weapons

I just bought the game yesterday. It is very hard to obtain in Europe.
Because I'm green I'm still a bit overwhelmed by SOASE.

My first impression is that I love the concept of the game, but the RTS battles do somewhat disappoint me. The designers themselves always refer to the spectacular Homeworld games, but I felt much more involved in the Homeworld battles. I am not quite sure why this is. It may be because I feel I can't give the battles my undivided attention because shit happens all over the place. In Homeworld 1 and 2 I just enjoyed watching the battles like they were movies, zooming in on the motherships and battleships, seeing all the detail and dreaming about what it would be to stand on the bridge of that Vaygr Destroyer or Battle cruiser that I just sent towards the enemy fleet. I do not get this feeling when I do battle in SOASE. The Homeworld battles felt much more realistic and detailed. Perhaps it is just me.

I also think the ship design in general and the texturing and artwork could be really improved. The Homeworld 1 & 2 designs are so incredibly cool and awesome and superior that it is not even comparable to SOASE (Just my personal opinion. Don't shoot me).

The music. Please change the music. It gets on my nerves.

Sorry for referring to the Homeworld games all the time, but they truly are the mother of all space RTS. Nothing can beat them. Not even after all these years. I still play HW2 very regularly. Don't feel offended by anything I said. Remember I'm still very green at this game.

Well I'm going back to conquer the universe in SOASE now.

I have to agree about the design of the Ships, really nothing spectacular.

The biggest let down about this game was that there is absolutely no campaign, I'm not really into Online games so that really kinda shocked me. Still the game is pretty cool and I like the gameplay.

I like this idea, but I think that the vasari should have the fish aquatic and insect types of ships while the TEC gets the diamond looking ones

I'm with mcattack92... Fast mode is still just not fast enough for me. Against the computer, I'd like the ability to speed the game up and slow it back down at points. I like savoring the battles, but waiting for travel, building and research to go on kinda blows.

In single player, use the + and - keys.

A more robust diplomacy system that didn't feel tacked on and lopsided would be great. (I.E. Being able to make the same demands of AI that they make upon us.) You know more in line with the diplomacy options in say Civ 4. Nothing over the top like demanding planets and stuff, but still something with at least some interactivity.

I might be way off here but I'll give it shot how about:

-Space assault bots- they are units in the shape of robots(could be a human shaped robot, creature shaped robot, etc.) and they could probably have the ability to land on the planet's surface and kill the enemy population or they could stand guard in the owned or allied planet and go to space when the player commands them.

Then again I'm not sure what other players think of this idea

I only recently got the game and although I do love it there is ALOT they could work on. I was really disapointed in the depth of the game overall. Maybe I just expect too much from a stragity game after playing GalCiv2, but I feel like everything in Sins is just way too basic and easy, as well as the AI not good enough. My first game I jumped in on hard setting and easyly stomped the AI. Also having NO campain or real storyline what-so-ever is VERY lame. Also only 3 races?!

Basicly I feel like this release game is very polished but as far as depth it seems like a beta version. Dont get me wrong its a very good platform that could be greatly expaned on and thats exactily what I'd like to see.

1)Double the size of the tech trees - I really dont see many options in the tech trees, these could be greatly expanded upon to add some more depth to the game.

2)Larger maps! - at first they seemed large but once you've played the 'large' or 'huge' map more than once they dont seem very big at all. Id like to see some truely massive maps on an 'unrivalled scale' like the box promised :(

3)Add AT LEAST 3-5 NEW races - Only having 3 races is a major drawback to this game IMO.

4)Greatly Improve the AI - like I said I had no problem stomping on the hard AI in my Very First Game! Take some pointers from GalCiv and make the AI more engageing/challenging. Also more settings than easy / med / hard would be nice.

5)Expand the diplomacy options - the diplomacy in this game is extreamly limited. Some more options in here would be great and also some differant missions beside give $ metal crystal or destroy stuff. It just seems very repeatitive and trite.

6)For the Love of GOD add in a story!!! - Im so freaking disapointed that there is no story here at all outside of an intro movie. After I watched the intro the first time I was like sweet cant wait to find out what was chaseing them...still waiting cause its not in the game!! It seems almost like they released a 1/2 finished game.

The biggest limiter for 2 is the power of your machine. You can use Galaxy Forge or even the in-game creator to make maps as large as you want, but whether your machine can handle it all the way to the end is a different story.

With 4, the big limiter for the AI is that it has to do everything in real time. It doesn't get time to take turns like in GalCiv.

And 6, that's in the expansion.

Alright first lets see where should I start? oh yes PATCH YOUR GOD DAMN GAME!!!!
The fact that you state theirs only easy, normal and hard prove your running an unpatched not up to date version of the fucking thing. Since they added the unfair AI in a patch for good reason not to mention improvements in the ai in every patch. Come to think of it, patch to 1.09 beta and try what I am about to tell you.

So hotshot 101 planets 9 unfair AI get back to us when you finish that. It will take you at least a week. And I want your save game from it.
