I'm using eMule which allows minimizing to the System Tray (not to the running tasks bar but directly to the System Tray). This does not work. The icon appears on the System Tray as it should but the program stays on the screen and in the Running Tasks bar I suddenly see a question mark icon where the emule icon used to be. Any ideas? Thanks. Yoav.
Hey. Found a solution for this disturbing bug. I'm using OD as a substitute for the entire windows taskbar. The problem is that when setting OD to hide the windows taskbar windows no longer recognize the existence of a taskbar and when maximize they go too big, either hiding the new Objectdock taskbar or being hidden by it. My Fix: I'm using WindowsFX - a program from the same family of programs. I disabled all the special eff
You're lucky that this is the only this that bothers you. It's a common bug and we've been waiting for the programmers response in this forum forever. Hopefully this feature will be fixed by the next version of ObjectDock. Yoav. _________________________ My Website: Link
You said you replaced your taskbar completely. how did you solve the problem where now when windows open in full mode they cover the entire screen (rather than leave a 20+ pixel space for the bar) ? Interested to know... Thanks... Yoav. ___________________________ My Website! Link
Actually I've had this bug as well. One of the reasons I'm not using a tabbed dock anymore. Only using 2 regular ones now. I guess what ObjectDock really need is a Major release and many many bug fixes. Bugs that are small but very annoying. Yoav.
Actually I just found that out as well... I close ObjectDock, reload it, and it resets the settings again. We need someone to write a small utility that changes those settings and will load on startup. Shouldn't be *that* difficult... Anyone?
Same here. Very annoying. It doesn't happen with any other program. I have this problem with both Firefox and Mozilla.
I actually had the same problem but I did what Citizen Czzz said and it worked. In a nutshell - Click on the start docklet - right click on the start menu - properties - taskbar - and then uncheck "auto hide the taskbar" and check "always on top". Now all the windows I load respect their size and do not block the objectdock. Yoav.
Jeff, I'll try and be more precise to help you locate this bug more easily; What we are all (I believe) experiencing is this; On a clean install - meaning; 1. unistalling the previous version. 2. Erasing all the files, both from the directory to which OD is installed on and from the Documents and Settings location. 3. Removing every mention to OD from the registery. On this platform we now install OD+ 1.1 The p
I've been reading all the suggestions posted and I don't know if this has been mentioned before but what I really miss in ObjectDock is the ability to drag the dock and place it whenever I want... Namely, I'd like to place it where my quick launch once was... And I can't... Thanks!
Hey... Here's another bug to report... (sorry I'm such a hassle recently). The flyout menu - Sometimes, haven't figured exactly why, when I click on it it opens the menu but then closes it automatically. I suspect it has something to do with the autohide setting that I'm using. This causes a problem. Wonder if you're having the same problem,<B
Developers... It has been almost two weeks since I reported this bug, and others are suffering from it as well... At least let us know if there's any development, any progress... Something... We're waiting...
I don't know if it helps you guys solve out this bug but this is what I tried doing; I defined a new user on my windows [XP Pro] and tried installing the Object Dock Plus 1.1 on it and got the exact same problem. No tabs where the list of tabs should show them and no docks where the list of docks should show them. Same problem. Don't know if it helps in any way. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Sad.gif" border=0 ALIGN="a
Any news about this bug? Any ideas for solutions...?
Hey... I'm glad to see that I'm not mad and that there is indeed a problem... What [email protected] described is exactly my problem. I've also sent all my *.ini files to [email protected]. I really hope you guys could figure this out quickly... Thanks, Yoav.
I'll be more precise this time; The situation is this - I uninstalled everything, erased all the remnants... everything. Reinstalled the Plus version - still not working. The "My Docks" window shows no docks despite the fact that I have several on my screen. Uninstalled everything again and reinstalled a previous plus version that had worked before and it's not working either. Very very annoying... any ideas?
Hey everybody... I have stumbled upon an interesting bug here. I was working with OD 1.1 shareware and everything was fine and then I installed the Plus edition and the troubles started. First of all I have to admit that I did not follow the installation guidelines. I have installed the plus on top of the shareware without uninstalling first or something like that. Ok, so the strange problem is this; I can see the tabbed bar, but when I go
