Yeah I worked on one not too long ago where the ram was bad to the point that the computer would completely freeze up when the poor guy tried to play solitaire, and it had a 120 gig hard drive, so that would be the first thing i would try

Also I might add you should try all the virus removal programs you can get your hands on, freeware and shareware both, formatting should be considered the LAST RESORT when dealing with a virus, I don't know about the other users here but the only time I ever format is when I am planning to sell that particular computer, other than that, there's no way I'd risk losing all my stuff

Ok, try turning off your computer by pulling the plug out in the back, if you are running xp, when you turn it back on you will have forced it to give you the safe mode option, operating in safe mode takes away some stuff, but if you go into safe mode and still cannot access the desktop properties, then we will know whether or not you have a serious problem or a minor one. Try this and then post an update and I will try to help as best I can

I had built abeatiful set of back and neon blue icons and when saved em as an icon package and hit load and then apply, they deleted themselves entirely from my system... WTF!!!!!!!!!!!

Are there any other ideas...? I'm trying to match at least two skins to each wall i have before I transfer everything to my laptop, and I'm going to put the wall changer and skin randomiser on it and get them bothin sync so that during one wall two windowblinds will be applied and then the wall will change and so on and so forth

I'm sure I could persuade president bush to provide me with a high quality wrench as long as its for terrorizing someone who doesnt deserve it, he'll probablybe a ll for it, and then when that's all over with I can give him my presentation on why I think gas prices suck and so does he for raising them... Well it's either that or my backup plan, i crash a semi into a light pole in front of her house, and then put on rubber gloves and use a pole to lodge a wrench in between the two capacitors... Then, i hide under a satellite dish along with all my favorite gizmos
