I'm sorry about your wife's miscarriage. It is hard. As for ER, no matter what health system you have everyone waits. With the best insurance in a great hospital I've always had to wait, no matter what the cause. Only those in risk of dying immediately get helped quickly. Hopefully, you will never have to return, except for your wife to give birth.

Some of the things that we think should be choices, may be heredity. In the University of Minnesota twins study, they found that twins separated from birth, smoked the same brand of cigarettes (an odd an unknown brand.) So we can believe what we like about this topic, but I suspect that there is so much more going on than we know. Thus, we don't really know why we made the choices we do.

The problem with arguments is that we often get our feelings involved. Debate has rules, but arguments often do not. Thus there is name calling and sometimes a refusal to acknowlege when a person arguing from the other side has made a valid point. Mr. Frog is right. This happens everywhere. Either the Child Protection Agencies protect the child at all costs or they try to keep the children with their parents. In Washington state, the Child Protective Services have started to weigh more on the side of children than on their parents.

In my opinion, neither Bush nor Kerry are zealots. They are both too pragmatic for that. Bush may wear his Christianity on a sleeve, but his major concern is oil. Kerry may have protested the war, but his major concern is winning the election.
