Finally got VLC to read my video files on (ugh) Windows 10. But the white title bar and bottom navigation bar are very distracting; I'd like them to be black with white text, like Windows Media Player or HP Media Whatever. What are the minimum steps I can take to achieve this?

I believe the skin was Cadera, and I won't be able to provide a screenshot until/unless I have time to try WB again. Not really willing...

Windows 10, and my short-term memory isn't helping me recall most of the dialogs. One was the Stickies management dialog. There were others. I would have opened a support ticket, but Stardock chose not to recognize my password, which did not give me a warm fuzzy feeling.

Title bars always missing on the same apps/dialogs, right from the get-go.

I am regretfully abandoning WindowBlinds. The latest update, installed November 7, 2016, caused some applications (such as VLC), and some modal dialogs, to lose their title bars, meaning there was no way to move the application or dialog, dismiss the dialog, or exit the application, except by finding its entry in Windows Task Manager and closing it from there. Also, the update caused WindowBlinds to disappear from the wretched Start menu. I think this is sloppy work, folks, and I do not
I'm blundering around in SkinStudio 10, started with changing system colors. My main interest is in reducing the incidence of glaring white backgrounds in windows, dialogs, etc. My go-to test subject is File Explorer. I have succeeded in reducing its background whiteness to a soft gray/green, but I see that the title bar failed to pick up the color I assigned that item, and the menu bar retains what looks like a default aero-style blue. The bottom bar picks up the color I assigned

I see Memopad by basj was last updated in 2014, for Windows 8.1. From the screenshot it looks like it might be close to what I want, but I'm curious whether it would work correctly on Windows 10.

I like your Candera, though it does not make window backgrounds a color other than white; and I would replace the black title and slider bars with a darker color in the same range as the background color. This is something I used to be able to do easily in previous versions of Windows, creating a very restful appearance. Do I have to learn how to design my own skins now?
These aging eyes need less contrast, not more. Achieving low-contrast background colors was easy in every Windows version from 95 on, but that useful feature was left out of Windows 10. So I am trying WindowBlinds, and wondering how to specify a color for all window and dialog backgrounds (not the desktop itself). Any suggestions?
