Thanks, Cruithni. Yes, good point... Particularly on the higher levels of difficulty, I think it would be very nice to see the ai behave aggressively with the global spells. It's been some time since I played but I remember often reaching a point in my games where I'd have so much in reserved mana that I could decimate most enemies by casting the spell that creates a wall of fire on their tile multiple times. It felt kind of cheesy because they never d

I enjoyed Sorcerer King a lot, but something I recall wishing could be improved -- and now hope will be improved in Rivals -- was the limited use of magic at the strategic level by the SK and enemy factions... They never (or extremely rarely?) cast overland spells against me or cast summons or unit buffs on their stacks outside of combat. Not that I observed, at any rate. <span style="font-
Hi, Crono908. Yeah, like you I picked up SK a long time ago but only got into it after the 1.4 update. I've mostly had a great time with it and am just kind of sad that it's been so overlooked and under-rated. It is among Stardock's better games, imo.
I was delighted a few weeks ago when it was announced that new features are being developed that will (hopefully) breathe some new life into this game! One thing I'd like to know, however, is if this means there will be racial variety for sovereigns... In other words, if I play as the wr
Although I like the game quite a lot, there are a few spells that seem rather overpowered and sharply lessen the difficulty of the game once they are in my arsenal. The one I would most like to nerf is 'summon ice elemental' which freezes all enemies when cast. What do I need to change in the xml so that when I cast that spell there is a much lower chance (like maybe 25-50%) of all opponents being frozen? Thanks
Looking forward to it, bmorris2.
