Its a tad cheesealicious, but when I want to declare war I just give/trade a declaration of war to another race. Why give it away when you can sell it ;p
Mr Pink 7
I tried something similar on a smaler scale. A UN bill had passed that made a starbase cost 10bc a turn if it wasnt in a sector you controled. I gave some starbases to enemy civs. Iv also wondered if you could use a startegy like this to create an artificial choke point and get civs to fight each other
oops ssorry bout the double post
Frogboy, are you sure moral hasnt been changed? Maby it was affected by mistake when something else was changed, but it seems to lower faster than it used to . :notsure:

Im constatly in awe that you guys are doing this. I hope other companys follow your example. I tell you one thing, you have secured a loyal fan base for your future games
I dont think so.
Wrath_of_Dog I didnt recongise where all those stars are from, could you tell me? You guys are old ;), when did they make a Dr. Who TV show?
nope, Iv had that problem since before the most recent patch.
I agree with most of these posts, expecialy: 1. nasty AI functions enabled 2. number of random events hight, low , no exists etc In addition I would like a resolution to wasted spending, more alignment depenedat techs, and maby a cleaned up tech tree ex: have the tech to blow up stars be a pre request for terror stars
I have this problem 2
Iv never gotten a precursor event in any of my games either. The AI does but I dont. Iv never gotten the Deragonal (sp) event either. As a matter of a fact I have been haveing an event dryspell recently
What do ppl think of the new parties? Anyone know what luck does?
Moral also effects population growth, I have found destabalization fairly useful to keep down a civs pop if I dont want to/cant atack them
At higher dificuly levels they seem to be one of the weaker civs in my games
It seems to me that on higher dificulties (Iv played as high as intellegent) the Deregin dont do as well and are well ballanced. They have a realy strong early game, but they useualy end up as one of the weaker races. I think the other AIs just cant handle them on lower dificulies and that makes the AI seem better than it is.
wondering if it was possable, could someone make a mod that puts it back in the game?
Just wanted to give my $.02 on Tolkin. He was a great author and pretty much invented moddern fantasy. His books have some of the best immagry of any books I have ever read, but there are better books out there in my humble opion. I dont realy have an all time favortie fantasy series/author, but I agree with brian fackler that The Deeds of Paksernarion is verry good and The Wheel of Time is waaaaay to long. Id have to go with Issac Asamov for my favorite author of all time.
A bit OT, but I just wanted to say that everyone should try rushing in this game at least once. I played a tiny/rare planets/intelegent AI rush game a few days ago, and the game has an entierly diffrent feel. Trying to take as many planets as you can before Defenders come out :)
Why do ppl do the 80/20 break, why not go full mil spending and pop colony ships out every 2 turns? ~SDC~
What are you talking about? What picture on this site is offensive?
It happened to me when I installed a bunch of mods from the library. I couldnt figure out which 1 was causing the problems and I reinstalled.
If you wana make a bunch of money selling stuff to the AI go for diplomacy over research. You can get obscen amounts of money. I agree with coffeefreak. Sell trade goods, they have a huge bang for their buck. As for starting out, I max gov and military spending and start popping out colony ships and a constructor or 2. I only rush buy any if Im playing on a small map. Once Im done colonizing and claiming resources I go 100% tech and, tech up to diplomacy and trade. I ten trade Comm Theory and T
A couple other things. Getting more planets helps too. Its fun to watch your pop score skyrocket after you conquer a bunch of planets. I think PQ also effects growth rate
The higher moral is, the faster population grows.
