Believe it or not, Prestige victories were even faster in the base game on Epic, before Supernova. Complaints were numerous and one of the devs did a pass to slow it down. I'm not sure whether Supernova changed it.
yeah I found a post about that I think. I'm not sure what the ideal is but it does seem like larger maps should mean slower prestige progress at least. Also in general might prestige be impa

Is it just me? First game I played, another empire came really close before I'd explored half available sectors, and I ended up rushing a prestige victory to win. Second, I got distracted by a war and another empire got a prestige victory. Both games were under 200 turns. I like prestige victories but it feels like I need to disable them to get the full benefit of playing on larger maps with lots of opponents.

It looks like the missions are available if you have Altarians, Arceans, Drath, Drengin, Humans, Iconians, Korath, Torians, and Yor as your citizen race. Krynn have "any species" as theirs. The real question I have is that it says "Terran Alliance or any custom civ that has humans as citizens" but not the Terran Resistance?

Yeah, tell me about it. During the Twilight of the Arnor playtest, several of us found we couldn't win one of the Dread Lord scenarios because by adding it to ToTA, the Dread Lords' civ spot was bumped up one by the Krynn. So in order to win the scenario, you had to wipe out the Krynn, who of course were not present. And it was a *really hard* scenario. It was easy to fix, at least. And I know they added the Altarian Prophecy campaign from the first GalCiv to GalCiv III.

and I think GalCiv IV Supernova is the best so far. Everything about it is everything I liked about the previous games refined and/or expanded. I love the sector system and the size of the largest maps. I've only completed two games so far (one prestige win, one prestige loss) and I really like the challenges. It feels like the old mega events but without being dropped on you out of nowhere. AlienGPT is great for inspiration and outright adding new civs. And I like that the up

I think the Elemental stories posted on the forum are all about GalCiv characters at least. There's some snippets in the Elemental/FE/LH games as well. Do you know about the story summaries Brad posted about DL Bradley's adventures in an alternate timeline? On an Earth that universe's dread lords invaded? The raw form of GC3 campaigns is mainly what I was asking about. The GCIV missions feel less lore heavy too so it's hard to say how much would feel relevant.

this is cool will you be including the stories of the Mithrilar, the Telenanth, the creation of the Arnor, the history of Elemental/Altar and the war(s?) between the Dread Lords and Arnor there, the whole thing with the Dark Mithrilar Draginol, esp what Draginol did to/with the Telenanth? I see bits and pieces throughout the document, just wondering about a complete linear explanation (as linear as one can get anyway)? Also summaries of the Crusade and Retribution campaigns fr

this by itself wouldn't be a significant problem if I hadn't started the invasion specifically to deny my closest neighbors that same planet (Thalan homeworld) + I needed to finish them off before their battleships got back from wherever I warped them to. So I'm about one turn away from completing the invasion, a late-arriving ship entered the same hex, joined the fleet, and canceled the siege. At which point the Luxar (my neighbor) jumps in to start their own invasion. And of course

On the linked page is what I presume to be an older version of the civilization builder. The current version has an abilities tab instead of culture tab, and does not seem to have any option to select starting ships - most civs have Flag Ship and Colony Ship, but some starting civs have different options, like colony fleet and scout fleet. Was the option for starting ships simply removed or am I missing something? Edit: I thought I was posting this in supp
