For 2-3 turns after I load a save, influence and revenue are way down, often negative. The game has trouble "waking up."

Why does my homeworld have 20 billion people, 4 healing pools and only 68% morale when several other of my planets have 16 billion, 1 healing pool and 100% morale? I also have 2 morale resources maxed out in mining.

I have left Mega Events turned off since I first got the game. Playing nicely, sizable empire...then BOOM Jagged Knife and I lose 1/2 of my colonies. What sadist programmed that??

Is there a specific formula that can determine how many BC a planet will generate? For example, how many BC a planet under Imperial gov with 8 billion people at 33% tax rate and no other bonuses will create? I'm having a problem because planetary maintenance costs are dragging my economy into the red and I can't figure out how to manage improvement costs so I stay in the black budget-wise.

You have to place multiple agents and hope they learn something before they are neutralized. That's my experience, anyway.

When I took at detailed look at some Altarian ships, I thought I was looking at something out of Engrish.com! Descriptions of the weapons were like "Pretty sky showing now with added spice." What is the story here? Were the descriptions outsourced to Japan?

I had the recession event, but I was earning 300+bc / week, had $10000 bc in my treasury and my economy only went into a deficit for about five turns. Espionage is untraceable. If you want a harder diplomatic game (and a less passive AI in general) try turning up the "aggression" in the personality tabs of the enemy AI's (assuming you have DA). It makes the game much more interesting. Is it possible to turn it up mid-game?

Given those numbers (the turn by turn oscillation), it probably is the 20K penalty that GW mentioned. You suffer a 20% drop in revenue if you have 20K or more in you treasury when you hit the turn button... Well, that sucks. I have about 24K now, so should I buy some ships?

I have starbases in most of my systems, and in Sol I have enhanced the attack to the utmost. I see that sensor drones have an attack of 12(!) in this sector, so could I use them to attack?

The two other races in my game, the Arceans and the Torians, have been at war for 10 years. I love it. My economy, science and military are finally rising to the top. I am building fleets of constructor ships and huge starbases in every one of my inhabited systems. My culture is on its way to flipping some Arcean planets. Let em kill each other, I'll just sit back and watch. :HOT: LOL
