Wouldn't ya know it, I can't recreate the crash. It works fine now in both analog and digital modes. The only thing I changed, I think, was the in game resolution to match the native widescreen res. of my monitor. After I launched the game in analog, I switched the in game res. Then I switched to digital mode for a test and it launched fine. It wasn't the known issue of having a desktop res. too low. Anyway, thanks for the response

Hi, after updating dark avatar to the latest, it would never start up. After starting the game, the screen would flicker and then a portion of the desktop would black out and the game wouldn't start. I have to right click - close on the taskbar. Anyway, after not knowing what was going on, I took a shot in the dark and switched my display settings to the analog display setting on my video card (nvidia 7600GS). I had swithced it to digital a while back. And the game finally star
I echo Scott Cousens wish...To be able to zoom out a few levels on the main map. It would be very nice!
here's one with regards to one of the yearly report screens entitled "the politcal process". The text just ends in mid sentence and doesn't scroll any further down.
The game crashes to the desktop when i click the domestic advisor button. happened 3 times in a row. One time i got into the dom advisor, but the game crashed when i clicked one of the tabs in it. ~SDC~
Hyperlinks in the research screen that describe the items available after you research a particular tech. For instance, the research screen tells me i can build this improvement if i research this tech, but i have no idea why i would want to build it, hence, why research said tech? And of course, not knowing what you need to research in order to build certain ships...well....stinks. You end up just researching what your best guess is...and hoping it gets you better ships. <
