This seems board-gamey to me. (And I'm a huge board game player). Think of it this way: Each administrator gives you a certain number of Administration Points. Think of them however you like. Each one is a person, each one is political capital, each is a signature on a form that allows the government to do something, each one is simply an action point that is a cost for some action. Once you make a survey ship, you've burned one of your persons/capital/sign

Hi again, One more thing, which may or may not be working as designed. I've been away from GalCiv for some time, and I'm recently dipping my toes back in with Crusade. Since I'm just having a look in and figuring out how everything works so far, I've been playing a bunch of early game with AI players set to "Beginner" so I can see how all the moving parts fit together without too much hassle. :) And they've been really outpacing me in nearly ever

Hi all, I've been away from all things GalCiv for quite a while, but have been giving Crusade a bit of a go. I'm wondering if the treasury tooltip (when hovering over money on the top bar) is working as intended. I was in a situation in a recent game where I discovered what had to be the last juicy planet on a small map. I had just enough money in the treasury to rush a colony ship and be left with a paltry 1 credit. But I checked, and the toolti

I'm in favor of this. I can see the borders, but only if I really go looking for them, and even then they're really easy to miss. Color blind mode or a change to the border graphics would be great.

I'm not sure I've seen them in the latest batches. Something I've been meaning to mention for a while, though, just in case it slipped through the cracks. I figured since I laid down the money for the preorder I ought to start earning my keep. I take it that means we'll see plenty of 'E's in our Heroes from here on, then? :D Edit: Just did a quick look at the IGN preview. The first shot is a cloth map with a big

I have a contribution, though not in direct relation to the shots you're commenting on here, Scoutdog. In several of the screenshots we see a counter at the bottom that reads "Heros". I may be mistaken, and I'll certainly keep looking, but in the sources I've checked so far, "heros" with no E seems only to apply to sandwiches. "Heroes" with E seems to be the form of the word accepted by most dictionaries (4 that I've checked so far) for a person of enh

The thread is so long now I don't know if this has been mentioned. It's certainly been mentioned in another place. An easy-to-see clock would be appreciated. I think this is a must-have for any game that could potentially suck people in for hours.

Technically, I'm blaming his cold on his weak will allowing him to stay up so late playing. While many of us here are posting in good humor about Sins taking up our time (including the poster to whom I responded), there are many out there that would "blame the game" and not take personal responsibility for their own choices and lifestyle, whether that be drinking to excess or playing a game to excess. Again, I think everyone here is posting in good fun, but I think it's worth pointing

[quote] Yesterday I had to forcefully remove myself from the computer to witness at least the last two hours of three days of the best weather we've had for months. And what did I get for my efforts? A f****ing cold. But after a whole week of staying up late with Sins and cursing the alarm clock in the morning it felt good

Frogboy, I think I have the same two-emails problem as people above. My real one is NOT the earthlink one. The earthlink one is an old one from the GalCiv I days. If you are able to perform your magical merging trick on me, that would be spectacular. If not, I do understand....would get up updated, though.

You can only build one ship at a time on a given planet. So while that planet may take the scout 6 months and the colony ship 25, it can only do one or the other. So you pick just one of them and leave it at that until it's built. It's not working on all of them at the same time. What may be confusing you is that production transfers from ship to ship if you should change midstream. So if you have already spent 3 months on a scout that takes 6, it would say 3 remaining, but if you switched

Vedric, I think the fox means the stickied Suggestions thread at the top of the general forum. Seems that Brad is checking that very frequently and by putting it there it is less likely that your suggestion will go by and get missed as it is part of a sticky. Erf. ~SDC~
