I can agree, but that's where you do something a bit wacko for your empire, e.g: attack your own trading partner (et tu Brutus? Then fall Caesar!) That's what I did with one of my saved games... It's like a choose your own adventure! Use the AI to your advantage. If you are dominating, then go... okay, who is the next big kahuna, let's go after him! Of course, if you've done that, then well... (shrugs) :D *goes off to mop up stupid Torian starbases once again* <B

I dunno if somebody brought this one up about hard-limiting, but why not make it a United Planets resolution that could be passed or something? - Of course, that would mean that the AI would have to build SBs without resources, and while I've seen that it's not exactly something the AI automatically does ALL the time... - A natural hard-limit would go, IMHO, against the basic idea of a 4x game where cultural domination is a victory possibility. - Having leveled constructors woul

Uh, the colour identification of stars (while accurate) isn't exactly the worlds best SI unit of measurement (hello, we're talking about bright stars in the negative zone and dimmer stars having a positive number? (of course we're talking about something that was invented way before SI became a reality) But I think Stellar Cartography probably relates more to the actual 3-D chartment of stars. Cartography as we see it is only evolving into a 3-D system proper now (although we have had

Uh guys, remember that on ANY level AI if a civilisation gets some good random events that fall its way it's going to make a difference (like a BIG one eg: finding 4 Ranger starships early [that I got]) so maybe that's why. Frogboy et. al have emphasised that the AI doesn't cheat cheat, but it gets a lot of bonuses... ~SDC~

Have you checked your sliders for how much is to be spent where, and what type of planets did you land on (the number in the top left hand corner of the planet when you go to the star system)??? Also if morale is low I notice that production kinda sucks too... ~SDC~

Hey all, Just thought about this when I was reading about Leto's posting about Tac Combat... What appears to be the issue here is whether or not GalCiv should be as complex as possible or as simple as possible. Now I think the developers have already commented on what GalCiv should be, remembering that this is their game design and that while commentary is appreciated, it's not necessarily going to be accepted as such. But to re-iterate the whole schmozzle that the whole deba

Well, it IS kinda slow but why then can you send like a fleet of 16 ships and attack at once... (I mean, it probably attacks individually within the system but it prolongs the computer moves if you watch something like 24 ships go and attack it simultaneously... kinda funny when it takes 19 corvettes to take apart my Ranger... and even then...) ~SDC~

Frogboy, just ignore them... :D You guys are doing a good job. It's just a bit buggy that's all... and people get frustrated and shitznitz... it's understandable FYI I've just had the multimedia thing crash on me again, doesn't help when your piddly little dialup stops after 5 hours... well... nuts to them! Congrats guys on the work you've done. Man, not many larger companies would be able to do this... ~SDC~

Well, uh... I guess you've guys have had some fun... Me, uh, silly little dialup and download and archive option that I can't figure out how to work... :sniff!: And now the multimedia pack... ARGH!!!! 366 megs!!! WTH?!?!?!?! LOL Poor little voice modem... don't worry I'm retiring you next month :) I think there are still some bugs with Stardock that need ironing out, like the queuing is a bit fuxed up sometimes and if you make a mistake (when you do at 2a
