I am trying to get help Sins of a Solar empire and receiving no response. I made a post a few weeks ago and was told I'd receive an answer by email - no response. I sent an email to support two weeks ago, no answer. Another email last week - again no answer. On a separate issue, this one with regards to software registration of OD, I sent an email last week - and 5 days later nothing. What do I need to do to get an answer from the support organization at St

Should I expect a response on this thread, via email or not at all? Is this a case of "we're gathering information but have no idea why this is happening?" What should the next step be to figure out what it is I need to do to be able to play?
When I try to launch the game, I get no video and the screen goes blank. During what I assume is the intro movie, I get broken sound (and no video) and then if I hit ESC to skip the movie, presumably the game goes to the main menu, but again there is still no video. I have to Alt-Tab out and close the game from the task bar. I've read the forum posts and my video drivers are up to date and I've recently rebooted. Here are some relevant technical specs if it h
I just upgraded to windows 7 and took the opportunity to "upgrade" my Object Dock to 2.0 and I'm a bit frustrated at the lack of a few features I counted on. First, it is apparently impossible for you to tell OD NOT to consider docks as drawers. In prior versions, it had the annoying default behavior to reset the "make dock a drawer" property every time you attached and unattached a dock from the side of the screen, but now it just does it and you can't turn it of
Wow, so I've obviously been using OD for years without even checking out all of the options I guess. Now if only the "Display open windows" function were multi-monitor aware... thanks a bunch
I was looking at skins today and I ran across this screenshot of an author's desktop. I dont understand how it is done. How do you get OD to display the arc of icons beneath My computer (I presume they're documents, pictures, music, etc.). I can get the k-tek discs background, just not the arc of icons. thanks (screenshot Im referring to: http://nazz3.wincustomize.com/popups/desktop.aspx?acid=3489407)
Im having difficulty getting WB to skin (or more properly NOT to skin) text windows such as xTerm windows or command prompts. I have explicitly excluded the application from WB skinning (checked "Ignore this application and do not skin it) in the configuration dialog. However, everytime I launch a new window from the application, the title bar is skinned (and ugly - no min/max/close buttons). <img src="http://img36.imageshack.us/img3
Setting the file association did nothing to resolve this issue. The default file association IS set to WMP. However, at random times, "set as background" just showed up as the default action. There is no rhyme or reason as far as I can tell. The only thing I could to do stop this was go to into the registry and manually delete all of the keys for "Set as Desktop Background." Its unfortunate, but Ive had this problem for way too long and Ive just had to stop usi
An update on this - when this occurs, the default activity for "launching" my AVIs (or mpgs, etc.) is "Set as Desktop Background" in windows explorer. There doesnt seem to be any rhyme or reason to why SADB becomes the default - WMP is still listed as the default player. Does anyone have ANY information on this. I posted this topic two months ago and I have received zero assistance other than a single "make sure you're running the current ve
According to Impulse, I am running 2.50. According to the About Deskscapes its 2.00 (#106). The version information inside the program is not accurrately mirroring the same information displayed in Impulse.
How do you actually tell which version is installed though? When I go to "About Stardock Deskscapes" in the Deskscapes utility, it says v2.00 (#106). The information panel at the bottom of Impulse says 2.50. Should I believe the version stated in the impulse info panel or in the application about dialog?
Im having a problem with Deskscapes. Occasionally, and there doesnt seem to be a rhyme or reason to it, but Deskscapes will play my my movie files when I double click them in explorer. I have looked into the right click -Open With - menu, and even verified that the default is WMP. However, sure enough, at some point, Deskscapes will take them over and when I go to watch a movie, I'll get it playing on the desktop. Im running Vista 64 and deskscap
[quote who="voidcore" reply="6" id="2002664"]Yes they do your thread is in the Stardock Support branch of the forum.. so you will prob get an answer soon.. imo stardock have great and fast support most of the time and a better connection to the community than most other buisnesses. Is there anyway we can replace the missing functionality from version 1 of the control center? (Namely opening an explorer to a specific drive letter when you click on a drive meter)?
I posted this problem with RightClick some time back and never got a response. Now the new control center (base on ObjectBar) is also exhibiting the SAME behavior. I have a 3 monitor system set up where my primary monitor is the center screen. The monitors are as follows/ [A] [B (primary)] [C] If I start a program that opens a window on monitor B or C, the window comes up fine. However if I open a program that opens
I have been an OD user since the days of OS/2. One feature of the windows version control center that I use every single day WAS the ability to click on a drive graph bar and get an explorer window launched to that drive. Well in the new version of CC, now under Object Bar I believe, this functionality is GONE! You can have a very nice looking graph, or you can have a folder thingie that lists ALL drives, whether you want them or not, an
I just read the news that that control center version 2 would be based on the ObjectBar code, so I figured Id check it out. Well, I have to say I am REALLY REALLY bummed about some lost functionality in ObjectBar 2. In the control center, when I add a drive gauge, I can click on the drive gauge and it opens up an explorer window to that drive. This functionality, is missing from the drive gauges of OB. Can someone from stardock
I downloaded the zip file and now I can update again, but now every time I start SDCentral, it tries to download a newer version (2.19[b].128, build 97). It apparently doesnt succeed (no complaints as the new version is broken). Is this what is supposed to happen or is something screwy going on here?
I notice in the change logs for 1.69 RC that ObjectEdit fixed: (*) updated unicode support to not display extraneous leading character with UTF-8 files. Well - whenver I try to open UTF-8 Files (Trillian Logs) I get the error message "Unable to decode UTF-8 Files." So what's the deal? Can ObjectEdit open UTF-8 files or not? If not, then what was fixed. If so, then what's the issue with these log files that they can
After downloading and installing the latest build of Enhanced dialog, I no longer have any Open Dialog functionality. Any program where I click on the file - open, I get a very brief hourglass cursor and then nothing. If I uninstall EnhDialog, my open dialogs work again just fine. Any suggestions on how to fix this? (sort of "dont use Enhanced Dialog)?
Ive got you guys beat on this one - after the most recent build of Enhanced Dialog - I no longer HAVE an open dialog box. Any application that I click file - open - I get an hourglass for a split second and then the entire thing disapears. fun fun
I am currently using a 3 monitor system running from a single computer. I would very much like to get another system to run the center screen - so, the question I have is can Mutiplicity support this configuration. Computer A - 1 screen Computer B - 2 screens B A B Computer B's screens would need to be on either side of computer A's. My initial thought is no way is this going to work. As far as I can tell, I'd n
For some reason Stardock thinks that no one ever uses Delphi and decides to delete the delphi BPL's from windows\system32 and puts them in its own directories. This will happen every time you update one of the apps written in Delphi (SDCentral, Skin Designer, etc.). To fix this re-copy the BPL's from the stardock directories back to system32 As for Delphi compatibility, I use D7 enterprise and I have no problems using OD. I did have
