Yeah I'm pulling a no-no and replying to myself but I'd really like to know if anyone else has had any trouble with the new large map or larger maps in general since last update. Also I checked random-map arena size and it works great still Just wanted to know if anyone else had the same trouble

I found the minimal requirements online: Windows PC. 64-bit is not required for Sorcerer King. The full system requirements are: OS: Windows 8 / 7 SP1 / Vista SP2 CPU: 2.2 GHz dual-core RAM: 2GB Video Card: 512mb, DirectX 9-compatible DirectX: 9.0c HDD Space: TBD I have more ram than that and my video card is a 6870 radeon with 2 gb of memory. My processor is about that CPU tho
The only thing a rant like this accomplishes is potentially making it so that they won't listen to you. If you don't like the change then say so and potentially provide alternatives. I really don't like that they may do nothing about the pioneer spam and that aspect really bothers me enough to maybe not play the game but I still want to support these guys. I like them and they are always honest with their feedback. It's something I can respect. They don't dilly dally aroun
Do you guys build an "outpost perimeter" around your empire to guard against attacks? I don't take issue with pioneer spam, but more or less the only outposts I build most games are around shards.
I certainly build towers for shards early on but I do build an outpost perimeter as you say. There's normally, on an arena map, about 3 shards fairly close by to the beginning city. Building a tower around that shard
The good: I played on normal and found the game challenging especially the last battle. The new art layout for the last battle looks sweet The wizard tree is a lot better (I wished there was better mana generation) Happy to not see my administrator when the mauling panther visited my front gates Happy to see checkbox for autofinish overwhelming victories Rival races quests and general feel are pretty good. They didn't settle any
I've been suggesting rivalish factions so that makes me pretty happy. The rest of Brad's concepts sound great. Comment: As I've posted elsewhere, I'd love to see some sovereign specific victory conditions like the tyrant being able to finish the spell and become the god. Or maybe that option is available to everyone with a lot of bad choices. I'm also rather fond of the incidentals (that's what Scott called them on that podcast) and hope there is a way
You are the leader of a city state in a world filled with Magic. But the King, the self-styled Sorcerer King, has begun to destroy the magical shards in a quest to become a god. You must build a kingdom and raise a force powerful enough to challenge him while at the same time dealing with rival factions who only care about conquering more land and resources for themselves.
Nice premise chang
I'm slowly moving back onto Sorcerer King. I'm also the designer on Ashes of the Singularity. Ironically, Galactic Civilizations III was not supposed to be on my list at all other than advising on the AI originally. But I've kind of jumped onto that with both feet and been tweaking, writing, fixing and updating it like a madman.
<
Q. Is there any plan to make towers more like Fallen Enchantress or at least being able to use cities to upgrade towers? It's actually really annoying to use pioneers to upgrade towers. Additionally, the towers are very simple and is there plans to have them have more use for the towers?
I'm not going to be able to make it to the twitch steam and I was hoping you could answer some of the issues I brought up above and talk about it during your stream.
I listened to the twitch stream yesterday and there was a call for suggestions that really matter to the player. This is basically a repost of a previous suggestion but it matters enough to me to repost it here again. I did add a few others too. #1. The only way to figure out how a city grows is by clicking on a city and looking at the small bar in the bottom lefthand corner of the screen. I’d be nice if this information (in whatever method you want) was added t
Good I'm liking the art choices though it took some getting use too I like the popup boxes for help. The game isn't too hard to play compared to others in this genre so I'm kind of glad for the minimal design Rider's were nerfed and I was glad to see it. There was actually reasons to choose other classes though true strike (from rider) is still the best way to take down the big lieutenants. Archers were useful for once. This mad
When I click on the above link I get this message: "Sorry, it appears that you do not have access to the Founder's Repository. To obtain access you need have purchased E2015 Founder's Edition. To purchase the E2015 Founder's Edition please visit our online store ." That's why I said that
Are there other quality of life ideas that other people have for this thread? I'd like to hear about them. I know I spend the time on this because I want to see the best game possible and I feel passionate about doing my best to see that occur.
These are suggestions that I don't believe are critical to the success of the game or retention of a player. These are ideas that I firmly hope are introduced but not going to make the game less fun. I'm pretty sure if the suggestion one isn't implemented then I might try to make a mod that does that. Adding missions, adding traits, and other things are fully modable. Again, these are suggestions that are fun ideas but not critical. Please feel free to add ideas like this to this
Point of this thread to specifically reference those things that you thought were really awesome or excellent design wise. I intend to keep adding to this document as I come across other things I like. [KUDOS] Nice add to give skill points on claimed shards [KUDOS] Was able to claim six shards on an arena map and the sorcerer king had zero threat. I hope this isn’t a bug. I always found taking even three shards to be a scary idea and happy to be able to us
I don't know if all these are bugs or design choices. If you have a screenshot then please share that. [BUG?]World report color for font is too hard to read [BUG?] Got a quest where a warlock hut that said the customer got a bunch of useless potions.
If you were one of the early founders (long long ago) for Sorcerer King, I've been putting up some new stuff. In the Founder's Vault: http://e2015.stardock.com/
It claims that one can still buy the founder's pack. Is that still true?
[BUG?] Got a quest where a warlock hut that said the customer got a bunch of useless potions. These are items that I believe utmost that need to be changed for gold release. These are items that will make playing and understanding the game far easier than it currently is. I consider these critical polish issues. Feel free to add more critical polish issues. I'm not interested in design changes but things that makes the UI more understanable or the game easier to understand. NOTE: This is from playing the game for about 2-3 hours using the Priest Sovereign [Quality
I've always felt that the minor races should have a chance to overthrow the sorcerer king if they are allowed to expand and get stronger. This would be especially true on larger maps where there is space. It'd be a pain in the butt if he they expanded on a smaller map though but part of that problem is that finding city sites is not always convenient. I will say that having to compete with the other minor races unless you convince them to join you would add anoth
I've invested in the game since when only the wizard was available to play. I'm interested in the best game possible that will be supported with DLCs and expansions for a long time. (say at least 3-5 years) If marketing team can use their resources to improve game sales so that the game will be better supported in the long run then I'm all for that. If time can be spent to improve cities and towers or another aspect that I'm not even aware of and it won't c
"1. Doomsday clock speed. I was thinking of hooking the Magic slider at the game setup to this. You would get less magic from the shards but the SK would get a less doomsday for breaking one. This would allow the player to have a great deal more say over the pacing of doomsday." I'd rather see this tied to difficulty but that depends on the goal of difficulty and the magic slider. I see difficulty as a way making the game feel easier by monsters having less hitpoints
The patch downloaded automatically last night. I'm happy to report that the wandering doomstacks didn't come out and play after the patch. It was a much more fun experience. I actually used enchantment last night but the ui certainly need improvement. (I know that's on the list though) It's still pretty hard to equip more than two guys as a tinkerer. I would hope to have more than that. It's possible I didn't utiliz
Your welcome for the feedback. I hope I was constructive. I hate just saying i don't like this or that and not be constructive. So with the current beta, I tried the Aeraon map on tiny (the first map choice). That's the one I got crushed by threat level 5 mobs. The second game I played on tiny on the island map (archipelago)
