I dont know about the Start menu BUT for most things you can just drag and Drop the item into the Dock! SO for example, your hard drive *usually c:*, just click on it, hold the mouse button, drag it to the Dock and let go of the mouse button! Simple! NOTE: you may want to change the icon once it is added to the Dock

Unzip the theme to the Backgrounds folder where you have the ObjectDock directory (usually: C:\Program Files\ObjectDock\Backgrounds) Then click on the Configure ObjectDock icon in the Dock menu and you should see a drop-down menu with Background next to it! Select the theme you want and you show have your new theme!
