HAHAHA until you posted about map sizes I never noticed the button that said change map size so I only kept playing the small ones. I will keep at it because although the game can take a long time to finish one map/campaign/whatever it is intense at times and the battles are enormous.

I am not an RTS guy but for $4 i figured i would give it a go. Well the computer (on easy) is beating me like a red headed step child. The tutorial gives me some info but I need a guide or manual or some other kind of resource. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be grateful I was trying to create a 2nd capital ship but it said I needed to research fleet management but I didnt see that. Also should I be researching one area or all areas?
It sounds like you are having issues more with the Games themselves than Steam. I am not defending Steam but most of what you stated doesnt lead me to believe theses are Steam issues. I think there are much worse things out there than steam, having said that I like Stardock and Impulse much better. I use Steam becuase there isnt many alternatives out there and it has a large user base.
