I liked its idea since they announced Magicka. As it looks Paradox and Arrowhead are having a huge succe with the games. Btw: I like their patching appeal: One patch each day until they fixed their mess! ;)

I really can't understand the people who are crying now. Stardock is hiring new people for the game and some of you have nothing to do but bitching around. Every other company would have buried the game after this desastrous launch (go and ask Bobby K. what HE would have done...). And now Stardock hires someone with a lot of experience in this genre and you want to hunt him through the village because of some bad design decisions in Civ V? Sorry, but this is ridiculous. <a href="http://dict.l

Borderlands is a great Co-op RPG/Shooter. It's like Diablo: A huge amount of random generated weapons, four different character classes, skill trees, leveling, PvE and PvP. Your friends can join and leave a game every time they want. You can play Solo, LAN or Online. The only differences are the graphical style (I like it very much, not this generic photorealistic stuff which they usally use these days) and the fact that it is a 1st-person-shooter. Imho a great game (which was also very succe

Anyone played "The Ship" ? If yes, you will recognize many of its game mechanics in a Bloody Good Time. It's a 1st person shooter based on the source engine and has the same graphical style as Team Fortress 2. Aside from usual game modes like Deathmatch it features a very interesting game mode called "the hunt". There are rounds of usually 3 mins in which you have to find your quarry and try to kill him/her. But you have to be careful because there are guards which will knock you down with th

Just to avoid any misunderstanding (to all the people asking in this thread): 1.1 -> Free patch which leads to the final version of E:WoM and will be the basis for a demo. 1st expansion: Addon which will be free for everyone 2nd expansion: Addon which will be free for everyone who purchased E:WoM until the 31st of october. Further expansions: ...will follow because Brad is addicted by its own Elemental universe. ;) I think there will b

I use Gamersgate, Impulse and Steam. - Gamersgate: I buy my paradox games from it, because Paradox Interactive is heavily connected with Gamersgate and so you will get patches and addons faster than on any other distribution platform - Impulse: Same as PI/Gamersgate. All my Stardock games are bought on Impulse (or retail), because there is the fastest patch distribution (and no other alternative ;)) - Steam: Just some small indi games; mostly these games which can't be

GPG should give the sourcecode to Stardock. GPG abandoned the game a long time ago. Maybe you Stardock guys would find some time between the Elemental (I like E:WoM very much) patches and addons to give demigod some love.

Me and two friends of mine bought Demigod the last week. We are playing against the AI and each other atm. Maybe we will play some public games in the future.

I have not much time, but here is their conclusion: Martin Deppe wrote: "Real love-hate. Rarely I wanted to fling my arms around the developers neck and simultaneously wanted to choke them. Elemental does some things insanely well: This consistent graphic design which looks all of a piece, the great unit designer, the combination of city building, exploring and fighting. And then there are things which drive me crazy. Such as the messy unit selection or these very slooo

Mostly playing aside from Elemental atm: Victoria II or Starcraft II. Both very great games. Starcraft II for the fast action and nice story. And Vicky 2 is just great if you want to have a longtime experience with developing a country and all its complexitiy (same as Elemental). Minor playing: Sins of a Solar Empire (I have still one nice longtime save game left -> just playing a little bit from time to time) and Mount&Blade Warband (perfect multiplayer for rela
