Sorry to cause so much trouble but I think I've fixed it, I reset my router to it's default settings then opened the ports and turned off upnp again, then tried two test games with friends where I proxied to one of them and it seems to work now. In hindsight then I expect it was some error or bug that affected the router which only got removed once i reset it to defaults (I only reset it because a friend wanted me to try putting it in a DMZ to see if that would help, but i couldn't re

After this latest patch every game I've played where I'm proxied to someone causes it to freeze either in the loading menu once the game begins or as soon as the game finishes loading, it doesn't happen in games where I'm connected to people without a proxy server or through NAT, but even one proxy connection will screw it up. Same problems for me, before things were pretty good bar the odd 0 ping and now I get the NAT failure message in maybe half the games I join. What I have noticed though is it's certain people I can't connect to, I have a friend who I was trying to play with and we couldn't connect regardless of the circumstances: when he hosted, when I hosted or when we were in someone elses game. I like that you crazy kitten/frog monstrosity, a square up of two demigods at any point in the game should not be completely fair; surely the point of the having such widely varied DGs is that they're best in certain situations.
