I might take you up on this, i sent a steam invite. I've love to get a better hang on this game. I'm in the process of moving to a new condo so my time is kinda limited but I could still get some gaming in.

It wasn't until mid-late game that I actually realized that I was was having a different experience with loyalists then with rebels. And I was a sad panda. </

It was my understanding that a starbase only took up as much CP as the original ship that built it. Is that correct?

The AI is not currently being addressed. Pinned by the devs: In BETA 1, we're looking for feedback on the following: TEC Loyalist / Rebel balance Overall performance Graphics issues (slowness, things being drawn incorrectly) General bugs or crashes Desync issues in multiplayer

Personally I feel the Occupation Planet mode appears kind of broken in implementation. I love the King of the Hill idea, but the way maps generate if one person goes for the target planet their home planet is fairly unguarded. Basically by nature of the pre-existing Sins game there is more then one way to win and that kind of snuffs the fun of Occupation Planet. I could see it working if the maps for that mode were mode specialized to turn that planet into a choke point ra
I'm not exactly sure what you're talking about. Granted I usually ignore the AI from a military perspective, but I didn't think they told you to attack a specific planet.
Often I've heard messages asking for help, I assumed it was at a specific location that I was not aware of. I end up scanning the galaxy looking for a allied controlled planet looking for a noticeable enemy ship population but

Howdy, Two questions if you don't mind. First, when an ally sites a specific location that requires assistance I hear the audio message and I zoom out but I dont see exactly where they mean. It seems like there should be some kind of obvious indicator on a 20+ plus planet map. second, for diplomacy research do both team mates have to research the same general research for both parties to take advantage of the benefits? Does the diplomatic envoy have to be in

They probably feel most comfortable providing beta access to the group of people that cared enough to pre-order it. Those folk probably have played previous Sins titles, are very familiar with the concept and have a vested financial interest in the game being a polished and balanced success.

I assume it was removed. Although I'm not in a position of authority as a developer/moderator the focus of this beta is very specific. I'm sure they'll let us have access to additional content when they are ready for it to be released in the beta. Generally speaking on other betas I've participated in, modding or reverse engineering a beta is generally frowned upon.

With the Advent's Meteoroid Control ability for the Starbase, I don't quite understand the prerequisites for using this ability. The description says that it's be used in a gravity well with meteoroids, but I don't understand how literal that is to be taken. Can it be used on a Starbase in anywell or do I have to look for small meteoroid particles in a well to know if it's usable? Thanks.

I'm trying to be good and not be blatant about it, but it just think the inspiration for this effect in junction with the ship design came from non-work related web browsing. I just can't take it seriously. Perhaps it's just me then.

I've only played offline, but I'd agree that they are too easy to build. Given in my case the AI isn't providing much pushback or forcing me to spend much in the short term for planet defense, the relative cost of the tech tree unlocks themselves seems low. It's such a game changer, I would of thought the last unlock for Titan development would be in the last tech level. *edit* Now that I think about it, the amount of XP needed to unlock these uber-power

There will be a total of 6 sub-factions, meaning two sub-factions for each race. In the previews I've read around the interwebs i believe the "original" races without sub-factions will not be included. The sub-factions really just add on to the existing races, not make any massive deviations from what was already there. I'm hoping in due time another race's sub-factions will be included in the beta. Given that Beta 1's focus in TEC balancing among others, I'd imagine

Well its not just about modding it really. I guess what I mean is when i first used it I started laughing really, really hard. I'm not sure how much detail I can go into it without pissing someone off though... [e digicons]:X[/e]

Although its understandable for the AI to be a later development, I'm bummed that it's at the stage it is. I've only played offline so far, so it kind of kills the joy of playing the beta.

I was playing the king of the hill mode capturing and holding a specific gravity well against two ai. The AI was on hard fortification. The ai hardly left the three gravity wells closest to its capital. even though it was on fortification it still seemed a bit extreme. Also, the AI moved its capital to an asteroid that was directly adjacent to its original capital. Since it was holding three gravity wells, it would appear it tried to move to the middle gravity well. the issu

i was playing a 1v1 game and i was winning, but I hadn't gotten to the enemy's capital yet and I suddenly won (about 3 hours in). The weird thing is when I went back to check the settings I had for victory conditions, all conditions were 'off'.

It's unfortunate that none of the other games I play have a fraction of the issues Demigod does for connectivity, as it might lead to a broader solution. I've been going over Monk's Connectivity Guide, trying to see if I missed something in applying his suggestions. My router is running Tomato. I usually assume providing as much info as possible will offer the best solutions so I'll cover monk's PDF point by point. I'm Running Windows 7 Service Pack 1
