oh cool. i forgot there was a specific suggestion channel. i'll put this there, thanks.

Hello, I think it would be helpful to have a highlight pip or number for starbases on the defense screen. Right now, If i want to see if i've already built a starbase around a planet, i have to mouse-over to see if i have a starbase there. The icon doesnt really highlight or anything, it looks "grey" either way. it looks like there is a little pip box like other building types have (e.g. resource extractors, Advent unity structure), but it never lights
Added dark skybox only setting. thank you
for me, i feel like i have to zoom too close to the ships to hear any battle sounds. it'd be nice to hear them a bit further out.
another example: the new mining stations and refinery icons feel similarly "flat"
I find myself turning down the music and turning up the sound effects to hear the ship combat sounds, which seem a tad quiet.
Loving the updated game so far. One bit of feedback I thought of was I think i like some of the old orbital building icons better for TEC. They were easier to tell apart what they were for me. For example, the research station, even though it was circular, the icon still felt it had some depth and angle to it; it felt less flat, if that makes sense. same for the trade depot.
If the game were like this I personally wouldn't play it. I got into Fallen Enchantress because I could pick which race I wanted to use and design my own.
@Havenfall This is one of the reasons why I suggested re-introducing the unit editor in some form. It was rejected. But I do see the need for an upgrade and veteran system. Also, some form of gear upgrading on trained units would be a good idea as well. Yet another idea might be that trained units have their own perks tree like champions do.
I'm not in th
I've only skimmed the last page so i'm not sure if this has been suggested, but a cloaked ship class (i.e. submarine) would be cool. maybe even with anti-ship and anti-planet versions (or just different abilities, weapons, and/or upgrades). Naturally, you'd need a destroyer class ship to detect them.
Quoting Ryat, reply 7 Rebellion is such a common word. I would understand if it was a unique name but usage of a common word and to try and "trademark" it is ridiculous. What next? The word "The"? I am glad you guys won. I've always wanted to start a company named "Our Leading Competitor" or "The Other Company" just to screw with advertising firms.
"Our Leading Competitor" would also mess with your
I'll have to check it out. BTW, since my earlier comment I went ahead fixed the flat land look:
looks good. i just hope it's easier to click on the correct tile than in some of the bumpy tactical maps.
I think Frog said the next one will be map stuff, which is cool. I think this has been suggested before, but sometime in the future, a champion pack would also be cool. What would be really awesome is a champion creator for the workshop.
thanks primal. I'll check that mod out this weekend!
There are lot of good points here. In most fantasy settings, magic takes the place of technology. When games are set in a more modern or futuristic setting, the AI typically doesn't need to understand how to use the technology, as it's more or less baked into the core mechanics of the game; how you attack/defend/produce, etc.. It's all utilized in the background as you just play. In a fantasy setting, you could make mana the most important resource and have
I find a large problem with magic based civilization games are the units themselves in the mix of things. Inevitably people want to see mundane units on the battlefield as well as magic. But magic will just destroy these units without a blink of an eye. It is the equivalent of 20th century army facing a stone age army. Seriously, they could beat the tank for 2 - 3 months and not cause any structural damage. This is the equivalent of magic
Update: Renge the Aphotic: - Really like the Dryder model. Can we pick this in the customer sovereign design? Can we pick...other...new models? (Centuar, Medusa, etc) Should there be new models?
That would be awesome if we could create our own spider-people sovs.
oh, bummer.
oh noes. Where did they say it's not coming out tomorrow? I wanted to play it this weekend.
Lot's of good points in this thread. The ones I agree with most are: 1. tactical battles look too small (even if the code didn't change, adding tons more troops on the field later in the game would be better). 2. tactical battles could use more detail. I liked Heavenfall's suggestions of adding LOS, morale, flanking, etc. I know you didn't want to make them too complicated, but maybe some model animations or other graphical indica
i'm looking forward to it.
Quoting stein220, reply 171 could we, perhaps, see a preliminary changelog for 1.6? I just want to wet my appetite. also, looking forward to the dlc. https://forums.elementalgame.com/451979/page/6/#0
Thanks, I either missed this or forgot I had seen it.

wow, that's great. nice, classic style.
