Fair enough. I guess I kind of feel that way about GalCiv 3, which is why I came to this thread. I just can't seem to find good cohesion in this game yet. I try, and I want to, but just doesnt happen. Some of my most memorable single games were of GalCiv 2, and win or lose, I just cant get that feeling like everything is clicking, like I did with GalCiv 2.

No, they haven't changed it back. As for fix .. not sure it's broken. It's not what people are used to, and that included me also. It makes for more like a chess game than a stack war, which in my opinion ends up leading to a better battle and a more thought-out approach is needed.
Civilization tried to fix that, and more, or less ruined the game.
Quick question, how do you feel Civilization is ruined? I agree, there are a few things I miss, but I've got to say now that Civ 5 is better than ever.
Guys, I hate to tell you, but I had this same problem. The issue is fixed in NVidia control panel as per my instruction.
Wow, youre confident. Nice screenshots, but unfortunately unless you know for sure if the poster is using an Nvidia card, you may not be right. Besides, you basically just repeated what I said in my post, lol. Jesus.

Yes, it's either: a) the "screen fit", or whatever it's called on your tv in display options. Fool around there, or b ) Not sure if you have nvidia, but if you use AMD open the Catalyst Control Panel, and under Digital FLat Panels, there are scaling options. Tool around with those. The only other problem I can think of would be is if your tv is 720p and youre using 1080p, but I doubt it. Hope this helps.

I'm a little late to the discussion, however, I'm with you on this. I came here and a couple other forums and got the answer, "Well it's newer, it's definitely better, so buy it" ... even got a response, "I dont get these people that dont buy the newest expansions". Some time later, I bought ToA, and while I enjoyed the graphical updates, I found the research tree, the custom buildings for each race and the new AI to combine for a lesser game. That&#3

Really? Well I'm glad that you havent had the same experiences as me then. By off-kilter, I mean the game just doesn't seem as balanced to me as DA. I'd have wars or expansions races with the AI that were so tight or well fought that I just havent had the same experiences in TotA.

I've read some topics in these forums about how the AI in TotA is buggy or broken. I have to say from my experience that, unfortunately, not only do I agree with that opinion, but I'd go as far as to say the whole expansion is off-centre. I certainly welcome some of the graphical additions, but almost everything else from the new tech trees to the updated AI puts almost the entire experience off-kilter when compared to DA. I'm definitely going to have a few mor

I'm a little late, but you can use something like Fraps, or better yet, Xfire's built in recording system is pretty good. Be prepared to have lots of space though, and also be prepared to not record your whole game in a sitting. You'll have to takes several breaks in the action or your raw video file will be massive.

Ok, this will probably sound stupid to most, but I just purchased Diplomacy, completing my Sins colelction. I bought all expansions separately. I haven't gotten into a game yet b\c of time restraints, but when I got in, there were 'quick' options allowing me to play vanilla Sins and Sins: Entrenchment. If I get int oa game of Diplomacy, will it load Entrenchment in automatically? Thanks and apologies for the stupid question

Wow, ridiculous. Speaking of stupid routes, I live in Canada and have seen some pretty bad NA routes. I played on xbox live with a friend who lives an 8 minute drive from me. We logged on our computers and had a 300 ping. Brutal.
