also try to keep in mind that the lore of this particular game basically says that the Vasari are wayyyyy more powerful than TEC or Advent, and the TEC are the least advanced. Im pretty sure the game was designed to be unfair towards TEC, this promotes good tactics.

HAHAHHAHAHAHA Sorry but...OWNED. Thanks FoePa, I thought I was the only one noticing all of this...
I think the reason why they are all grouping together is because you have them all set to attack the same ship.... The tactic I would use here would be to have three fleets: 1st fleet : Long range and caps, with a few scatterings of others for balance 2nd and 3rd fleets: your HC's, 1 or 2 caps each, and some others for balance. Jump the 1st fleet in and take out as many of the subverters as you can, then jump your 2nd and 3rd fleets in, one to the far left of the P
Use Hamachi Creates a virtual lan over the internet.
if you are being attacked by pirates it could be from them stealing your money Otherwise...no clue...
hmm, well that seems a little different. I dont really think that the tech tree that was printed for those people is really something that deals with all of that, I think its just the research tree printed up all nice on paper. As for your difficulties, while I can sympathize with having to deal with all 4 tech trees at once, I must say I think you are making this harder on yourself than you need to. An easy way to limit what you have to know off the top of your head i
... I dont really see what the problem is here. As stated before, you can see the whole tree and any time, and you can pause the game, or slow it down, or speed it up. There really isn't a need for a printed tree. As for having to manage 3 trees simultaneously, since that could mean a couple of things let me go through this: 1) you mean the tech trees of three races. Answer: You don't need to, you only need to know the tech tree of the race you are playi
The easiest way I cant think of is to culture bomb them until the planet becomes neutral again, then send your fleets in. Also, I have had a lot of good runs using a fleet with about 8 of each frigate and cruiser, and 1 of each cap, and then had the rest be carriers made up completely of bombers (im talking 80-90 squadrons). the bombers if micro'd can take out the cap ships within a min or two, while your non-carrier ships stall the enemies frigates. then just let the bombers
I have also experienced issues when I take over an enemy ship with the Advent Cap ship ability (Dominate I think). Except with mine they will follow their previous fleet out of the system instead of staying with mine...
RA (Returning Armada) is not very useful unless you have an empire of at least 5-10 planets that all have Phase Stabilizers. This is a good example of how complicated (but awesome) this game is: Yes, it does not seem like the number of ships you get is really worth the time/resource cost, but you have to look at it in a larger context. Look at it like this: 4-5 ships every 4 minutes Multiply this by the number of planets that have Phase Stabilizers this gives yo
Does anyone know whether or not pirates can jump between stars? I am making a big map and I wanted to have just one system with pirates and the rest for the players/comps...
*Edit* Nevermind, figured it out. Thanks for the great wrapper!!
Hey all, The blank .entity file may be caused by you not putting in a filename for the output. I discovered that when trying to get the damn thing to convert a bunch of files at once using the * wildcard does not work for me when trying to batch convert. I really dont want to have to convert them all by hand...anyone know how to get it to convert all of the .entity at the same time?
