Shouldn't micro-expansions come out quicker than full-game releases? Yet we wait years for only a few technologies and ships......This reminds me of the Half-Life 2 episodes.

Signed up, not enough decent 4x games out after Space Empires 5 and Lost Empires dropped the ball for the market.
The XCom games were not updated in any way to run in windows, they were simply packaged with DosBox and DosBox was set to autorun some settings they tested to run in Windows. I bought it on Steam already but I did play it for 2 years for free from Abandonia, I just like the game so much it was worth a purchase. If Impulse got it then I wouldn't get it simply because Steam beat them to it.
I think MMORPGS are what's wrong with gaming today. Lack of real satisfying and fun gameplay, huge time investment for minimal reward, and tons of kids and smacktards that are still a higher level than you. They just don't make sense. Back on topic these pre-order deals never go well with me. Why deny certain items to certain players? That's profiling against the people who shop at other stores and that is retailing racism :P
I want the physical disc version of the game simply so I can install it on any PC I want, but then again a disc will have DRM that caused damage to a PC for me before requiring a reformat. I'll choose Steam over SecuROM anyday, but I'd rather Borderlands be on Impulse without DRM. The biggest gripe I have with Steam is they don't use normal install directories, which makes installing mods or extras a total pain (GMod and Spacebuild 3 come to mind). Hold up, if I get the d
I've played Dyson in bits for over a year now. The only problem with the current downloadable version is that it was released months ago and has very few levels, if it had more levels I'd keep playing until I beat them all. I like the game a lot, but I hate the new name Eufloria. There's a flower shop called Eufloria, stupid name IMO to the guy who won the naming competition. But, Dyson is also a vacuum cleaner company. They need an original name........
I'm not going to pre-order and 99% sure I'm not going to buy the game even when it hits $20 bin. This is total crap, Square Enix NEVER MADE A SINGLE GOOD GAME YET! Front Mission was the best they had and the mish-mash story and horrid 'upgrade the mechs after each map' system was bad in the first game, never got fixed by the 4th game. Looking at their past, if Front mission games was the best Square could do, then why did GPG go to them. All they do is make spiky-haired gay heroes do the 'imp
I'm having the same problem too. I have widescreen at 1440x900 and it may be a resolution issue because this game looks like it was made for 800x600. By the way I'm contacting Stardock support as the 2 replies suggest, but has anyone tried anything that works or heard anything from Stardock to share and spare everyone else the same trouble? This game is on sale for $1 and will have tons of other people with the same problem I predict.
As the title says, I tracked down a bug where with my firewall on Sins won't start, it locks up my PC on the black screen before the opening movies play. I reinstalled a few times, rebooted tons, tried everything, and finally I shut off my firewall and it ran fine. I think this is a bug that needs to be looked at, I won't switch to another firewall because Comodo is freeware. I do know the problem might be firewall privelages detection, because the FirewallInstall program in the Sins
I have the same problem with the game not starting, just going into a black screen that locks up my PC completely and requires a reboot. I have Windows XP SP3 and the newest Comodo Firewall+Antivirus, and traced down the problem to Comodo. When I start the game with Comodo it locks up my PC, without it Sins runs fine and is still fun. I don't have any mods installed and I don't have Entrenchment yet, but that will change soon. Just to clarify, if you are running Comodo
lil geeks cant agree on how to play with their spaceships - your so cute! Oh yes you are!
Lol, look at all those jocks who waste their time grabbing and holding each other, in California that would be so cute but I don't go that way! [e digicons][/e] OK got that outta the way. Just got the game, thought it wasn't anything special when I tried it on my uncle's PC after the official release long ago
Alrighty, good to know. IMO it was a good move by Stardock to get rid of Starforce, too.
I found on another website how one guy got the CD version to work with Impulse version of Reboot: wun posted: So did anyone figure out if the boxed version worked with the expansion? Yes, it does. I'm proof of it. BUT, there's some loving around with the install location when installing the boxed version. Impulse doe
Impulse don't support store CDs except on GalCiv 2 I think. Not even GalCiv1+ Altarian Prophecy cds I got long ago will register properly. I was more worried about Space Rangers 2 though which I bought a few years back. Needless to say, after a few emails I was told sorry for my troubles, they don't support CD's but planned to implement it in the future. Now, the support I do have with the games I bought on Impulse got me to stop cheaping out and pay the full $40 for SR2: Complet
I just got Reboot, but I had the english DVD with Space Rangers 1+2 for a few years. Reboot breathes new life into the game and I bought SR2: Complete just because I know Stardock takes care of me when I buy stuff from them. So, I haven't played the game in over a year, and first thing I notice is the new planetary battle and text-quest modes. Love that! I love the RTS portion of the game, and I never really had a chance to play the text quests much, so this is a welcome addition. But
Personally, I wish Reboot had Widescreen support for 1440x900 (only monitor I could afford in Best Buy is in that native res) but even 1024x768 in full screen looks ok on my PC.
