first off download the latest drivers for your printer, then before installing right click on the file and select properties on one of the tabs you will see compatibility try selecting the file to run in windows xp compatibility mode. failing that go to printers folder right click on the shortcut and select run as and tick administrator, this should solve any problems and a little quicker than formatting and reinstalling.

More than likely these files are being reinfected by system restore, windows will on rebooting of the machine, do a background check of the system to see if their are any corrupted files, and if there are, it will recover them from the image file it created, system restore will not differentiate between programs and viruses etc, it just images the hdd, and uses it as a recovery tool, i never use system restore, its deactivated on all drives, for the simple fact if a program crashes or has a prob
