Can we bump up the ideology buildings to produce 1 point per 5 turns instead of 10?
+1 on that. I saw the planetary wheel go active after researching something, but don't remember what the tech was. It's really hard for me to keep my mitts off of it, but I'm trying to use the global wheel and buildings like you said. Full disclosure, I have 15 hammer planets at 96% manu and something like 3 planets that I specialized via

I had the Dreadlords pop up and had to hunt them down in the middle of another civ's area. As I recall, it was the Iridians that were visited. The Iridians took out most of the Dreadlords' ships before I was able to get there, but I took the planet defenders and planet itself. I've seen AIs surrender from being attacked by other AIs. I now play with surrenders off exclusively and haven't seen any major AI wipe another out. They routinely wipe out mino
There was a min-update to the 1.3 Opt-in on September 2, 2015. After this update, the Ultra Terraformer was renamed as OmegaTerrafoming_Name. Pic with the object circled below... Never mind. I just read the edited post for the 1.3 opt-in. I had already started this game before the update and it's evidently not co
You got it. We can go teams against the AI and you can see just how badly I suck at it too. :) We might have to turn off the DLC or continue troubleshooting the CTD issue. If you're willing to help, we can probably hand Stardock a fix on a silver platter. It'll take some time and frustration, but I think they'll be appreciative of the effort.

Hope to see you soon. In the mean time, maybe a few head to head or coop games in MP? I'll continue my current game, but will keep checking on MP offerings in the lounge. I don't join games where I don't know the host since I don't know if they'll ragequit on me mid game.
Well, you could use some social skills, but your points are valid. I'd think rewording those items into a request rather than an insulting rant would be much more effective. If someone complained to you the same way about, let's say, your breath or how you walk or such, you'd just blow them off, right? It would be a shame for Stardock to ignore your valid points just because you're being a tool.
Ticket #BWT-489-10658. I hope it helps.

I'd be glad to when I get home. Do you think that'll help if I'm the only one online at the time? My other license only has the free DLC and it's stable. It evidently only crashes when two people with the full DLC attempt to go MP.
A friend and I were trying to play a multiplayer game and it crashed on startup, regardless of who hosted. I have a GalCiv3 Elite Founder's license and a secondary regular one that I got on sale. I decided to try and troubleshoot the problem using two computers with the different accounts side by side. The issue is evidently caused by one (or more) of the DLCs. I registered my secondary account to get the free DLC and tried it. The game was stable at star
Is anyone able to start a multiplayer game in 1.3? We tried it and it kept crashing to desktop. 2 of us tried hosting and got the same results. We were trying 2 v 4 custom factions vs godlike AI, large map, abundant all, abundant galactic events. Any ideas?
In the long term, the per planet production wheel is going to go away. It's too tedious and too gamey. Something more interesting and immersive will go in its place.
I was disappointed with losing the colony wheel at first, but reserved my comment until I tried it out. To be honest, I'm seeing it as an improvement. I'm finding the game going faster and I can still be fairly efficient at
I've been playing a lot of GalCiv3 against the AI since the release and would like to try some multiplayer games. I play vanilla races against vanilla races, but can go with custom as well if need be. Add me on Steam if you'd like and we can work out times for some games. My original Steam name is 3vilTwin1 and I changed it to Mottikhan a few months ago. I don't know how it shows up. Steam still says 3vilTwin1, but the Metaverse says MottiKha
Upping the difficulty would be a good start. The devs are working on the AI and it does have a lot of potential. The improvements in 1.2 are pretty good compared to where they were before. I play exclusively on godlike (suicidal) and am working on new challenges. Mainly going for the Steam achievements, but tweaking the game settings helps. I've only played the insane map size once and have found it to be less of a challenge, even on godlike. T
Sent add. My Steam name is Mottikhan, aka 3vilTwin1. I see games popping up and disappearing in the lounge. Post a time if you'll be hosting and I'll try to meet you there.
I'd be interested. I'm in the Central Time zone, so GMT -5 with Daylight Savings Time. I can play for a few hours after work, so starting around 4 or 4:30 PM local. On weekends, I usually do stuff outside until the temp hits close to 100, so around noon. I'm open after that.
For some reason, I assumed there would be stardock staff monitoring the thread called GalCiv III Support.
They do, but it might be a while before they read or respond to your post. They evidently make a sweep of the forums and acknowledge what's reported on a schedule, but I don't know what that schedule is. It's much better than it was in the past, so things are looking up. &nbs
Yes, that's how it works. You lose the manufacturing output for the rush buy turn, be it a ship or structure. To compensate, I only rush buy a factory or two in the beginning and then let the factories build whatever. Sometimes, during that turn, I'll adjust the output wheel to 100% econ or research and move it back after the rush buy. I'll rush buy the Hyperion Shrinker if the planet it's on doesn't have a built up factory base, but that's ab
I'm not afraid of any synthetic intelligence or consciousness as long as the developers don't map feelings into it or give it a body that can experience frustration. The aforementioned rape, murder etc pp all happen because of strictly emotional reasons - this has nothing whatsoever to do that these criminal activities are based on intelligence. It's more or less an absence of it via a loss of self-control. Of course
The title says it all. At the end of my last game, I saw a lighted billboard on a building on the left that said Offworld Trading Company. It was only there for an instant, but pretty cool. :)

I have a Pentium quad core with 4GB RAM and Intel Integrated graphics and I can play on a large map on that thing. Kinda slow and I have the graphics turned down as low as possible, but it works.
I like the new system better too. All of us generally try to get large hulls as soon as possible and this helps put the brakes on. Once you're over the hump, the techs downstream get easier to research. There are other key techs that cost much more as well. I think it makes it more interesting. :)
