Interesting...I saw that SDC is available, but I can't figure out how to download it. The link just asks me to create a new account...also, when I log into the SD main forums, I can't make any posts... Guess it's time to hit up support...
I am done for good.
Well...bye.
Since I know that Windows 7 is in the pipe, that pretty much guarantees that I won't go to Vista. And, if DX11 is tied to Vista+ that mean I won't give a crap about it until W7 comes out (and even that relies on it being work while.) I didn't go to XP until Civ IV came out, and I needed something higher than 98. I suspect that it will be the same with these OS's.
I love the Sins theme, and have it on both my windows machines, and it got me wondering: are there plans for themes for any of the other SD games? I don't mean freebies like Sins (though, that was awesome :CONGRAT:) I mean games themes, period. If you're wondering about sales interest - here's one vote!
Sweet tasty gaming goodness, with crunchy bugs for extra protein.
...And yet, still no word on a date. ;) Oh well...I have had very little time to game recently anyway, so I'm secure in the fact that i've preordered and will get the beta when I get the beta.
I'm having the same problem....before I attempt to do this, I have one question: IS this going to bork all of my games? Last time I had to money with Impulse, it blew away my metaverse character for GalCiv, and support still hasn't been able to get it back for me...I've just gotten the other stuff to work right again, and I don't want it all going sideways again.
As for Lord Kona being removed, you could always remove him from the CoreCandidates file (though this will give you troubles in MP) but as long as most people like him (concensus is that he's good, silly fun) he's probably going to stay
Probably? Probably??? He's my favorite part of the damn game! Also, for the record: What exactly does the Veep do, besides give you a cash influx and some awareness around the state he's in?
Island Dog:I don't use the registry cleaner part of it. I did a few times and it really messed up some associations especially with Microsoft Office.
I, on the other hand, haven't had any problems... so, YMMV. Basically, I think that it comes down to, "If you don't really know what you're doing, don't mess with Reg stuff." This is especially true when something is hit and miss like this. But for cleaning random crap off your machine? Heck
ther3alsyler: do you need sound to play this game
I play without sound most of the time (since I like to play while watching TV.)
Zubaz: The ability to create custom candidates make the game very replayable. It's worth $20!
I've been having quite a bit of fun running on the Cthulhu/Kona ticket.
Thanks! We've had some technical issues for some pc setups that we are working on, so hopefully those people will stick around and be able to experience the game like you are.
Nope, no problems at all on my end...runs fine on my higher-end gaming rig, and I've logged many, many more hours in on my Dell Inspiron 1200 laptop (Which is far from current tech.) So, yeah, no problems with TMP on my end.
Side note: Either I really suck at these forums, or there really isn't much dedicated TPM talk on here. That surprises me.
BoogieBac: tototot: One of the future updates will include some fancy randomization options for people that want more suprise in their maps
That would be fantastic. Also, if I could also voice another idea: More scenarios. I know that two more are coming - but it's such an important point, I thought it should be mentioned
That really blows. Is it that they just cant figure out what the problem is? Or they wont spend any time even trying to figure it out?
The second one...for some reason, they send the problem over to TGN's support, and they basically didn't read my issue (they explained to me how to register the game *rolls eyes*) Now, they aren't even responding to the incident submission any more. I tried submitting a new one, but I didn't get even the automated response, so I'm won
Yeah i was joking Just that this forum is so quiet and needs something to keep people looking/talking/speculating, and my post did just that
See, I wasn't sure if you were joking, or were getting the same messages that I am: I keep getting an install icon that is the TGN logo, but with the Title "Demigod" in my games section of Impulse. It even goes as far as to give me an error when I click it. \Keeps getting my hopes up.
Hey, all...looks like I'm just gonna have to make a new character and sign him up in the empire. Support seems unwilling to fix this problem and get my character back. Argh. So, I'll be back soon to get us some points on the boards.
I have upgraded TA to 1.95 and now I cannot set up a metaverse game.
There has been some screwiness going on with the metaverse lately...I lost my character, and thus far, support hasn't been able to get that fixed for me.
You seem to have a problem with that... ;)
liberalismwithagrenadelauncher: Sorry, that was my brother, ignore him.
*Sigh* I wish that we could, but what has been said cannot be unsaid... ;) At anywho, I haven't had any crashes, and I'm playing on my old-ass laptop. Sounds like it might be hardware specific.
Played a few games last night...yep, this one is going to kill some time. Especially since it works on my laptop. On the replayability front - and if this is in there already, forgive me - how about random maps? Since there are already fantasy scenarios - including the Drenji, for crying out loud - how about an update/expansion pack that includes totally random maps of fictitious countries? There could be random layouts, random numbers of electoral votes, etc. I dunno, it mi
Rhedd_V: put out this morning
Well, that's the important bit, isn't it. ;) I actually haven't played in a week due to a support issue I'm waiting on. But once I'm back up, I'll know where to look.
It's already in TA 1.92.
It is? Is it an option that I have to select to get it to work? Please, I beg of you, tell me how to activate this most wonderful of things.
KzintiPatriarch: I know it doesnt help get the old character back, but can you create a new character? Maybe you could at least have the ability to play MV games, while waiting for the old character to be fixed.
Sure, I could...But A.) I'd really rather not start all over, B.) I liked the character name, and most importantly C.) If I can't get them to acknowledge the problem and fix it, it's just going to happen again next time I buy a game.
GW Swicord: I'd like to see both tech from flips *and* an option to leave a lower tech as the default for automatic upgrades.
Well, you do at least have the option to turn off auto-upgrades and/or build the old version of buildings, right?
Seven300: Check behind the couch? And yes I realize its comments like this which destroy people’s faith in humanity.
Don't worry, that was destroyed long ago. So now, it just made me laugh when i realized that it's more of a response than I've gotten from support... Seriously, what gives? Either they are busier than ever before, or I broke something in such a weird way that they need to fly some code-fu master in from the Orient to fix it. Generall
I'm guessing that support is swamped because of the upcoming release of The Political Machine or something, because it has been a week with nothing but an automated email response from them on this. (Even with follow ups to the original submission.) Hopefully, one of you might have an idea, because I'm hoping I'm not SOL: Long story short, because of some weird issues that I have with my account, when I order new games through TGN, my account gets all screwed up and reset to m
SH0KK: Hopefully there's still time to join the beta. I'd love to but I've no way to actually pay for it. As my parents apparently don't trust credit cards or the internet. So i'll likely have to wait to see when/if it hits store shelves
1st, let me say that I don't want to get you in trouble with your parents - so, if they wouldn't like this, pretend I said nothing. One option is to purchase a Visa gift card or something along those lines for $50...use th
