Give it some thought, still. I'm quite like you it seems, I don't have interest in multiplayer and usually only focus on campaign-mode in other RTSs; but "skirmishes" in Sins are really special, they really have the length and epicness of most campaigns in other games. Only no scripted events, and not much background to give life to the different factions - but it's still a really awesome single-player game. (comparatively, I had bought Dawn of War II after reading all the good review

Very interesting reads, indeed. I was unsure to reinstall SoaSE (love it, just it eats too much time... but that's why I love it :s), now I don't hesitate anymore! Looks like Entrenchment is as awesome as it was promised, and much more :D
we have the forums for explanations and strategy development, and making a tutorial/campain to explain them will never be able to take into account every possible way ppl want to use them so you would be back on the forum anyway.
I'll agree on that part at least, after all. If they try to make it good+ interesting (plot-wise) + interesting (gameplay-wise) + instructive, they'll end up with a long tutorial which won't interest m
thats not gamers thats kids that play with a toys, and imo letting them anywhere near a forum will in the end destroy a game Gamers use games to compete like jocks compete in sports, if you can't compete i can understand the wish for a campain(16hour tutorial) a more valid complaint for this game imo, is the lack of a ladder or points system to enhance the compatition(win stats are a really bad way to judge skill lvl) <

Fun idea, I like it aswell! It shouldn't have an impact on fighting units only though, of course. But have an impact on your civilization as a whole... I don't really know how, plain bonus/ penalties to (whatever, morale, influence, etc) just like political parties doesn't sound that interesting. And a question, would "religions" have to be researched? sounds weird... but maybe you could choose a "basic" religion (or have it attached to your race?), then be able to developp it in a way

(Stardock team) Anything we do will be fairly unique I'm sure. I hope you mind it seriously. All this pressure for multiplayer is really annoying tbh, and all these "hey every game nowadays is multiplayer, so this one has to include it aswell" or "all my friends will buy it only if it is multiplayer" arguments are pretty low. Most games are des

Just a quick post to counterbalance all the "please add multiplayer" posts I see here - I guess this topic isn't supposed to be a poll, but anyway. THANK YOU for NOT having made GalcivII a multiplayer game! This "feature" is actually one of the main reasons why I DON'T buy a game: every time, the single player part of this game is inconsistent or spoiled, because 1) developpers had to monopolize 50% of their work for multiplayer 2) they had to design the whole game to make it playable
