I'm using Comodo Firewall, which doesn't seem to cause a problem on my desktop PC which is running the same version of WindowBlinds. It doesn't seem to matter which theme I use it just doesn't run, the laptop is a brand new Acer, I can't see anything else running that alters themes. I don't know if it was the right thing to do or not but putting wbload.exe into the startup folder does make it start on boot.

Sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't find a post that answered the question. I got a new laptop with Windows 7 a couple of days ago, yesterday I installed WindowBlinds 7, it seemed to be working fine but today when I started it I got the boring Windows 7 interface and WindowBlinds isn't running. Anyone know why it isn't running, or how to make it autorun at startup?
Like I said it doesn't matter now, I've gone back to v6 because v7 wasn't as user-friendly and didn't work.
The layout isn't as easy to use as v6, the random options are harder to find and the fact that you only get a list of skin names in the random box is a pain, its much easier if you get some kind of preview of the skin. It doesn't matter now as I've reverted to v6 because v7 doesn't work.
I updated my WindowBlinds from 6 to 7 a couple of days ago and it was fine, apart from not being as easy to use as v6. Today when I switched my PC on the Windows came up in Classic theme, which is awful. I normally have it set to Random so I get a different theme every day. The random option won't work and no matter what theme I select I get Windows XP. I've rebooted and now I can change theme but when I do the screen changes resolution. I've removed v7
XP SP2 Update: I guess no one knows how to fix my problem[e digicons]:([/e]
Is there a reason why I can't get the Firefox titlebar to skin properly? I have several skins installed but when I run Firefox the title bar is always the classic windows style. On my PC it works fine but on my laptop it keeps playing up. As far as I know the settings are the same on both computers.
Sorry for the delay, I use Avast at the moment but am considering trying Comodo which is part of Comodo Internet Security. I have to say Avast is good, I was downloading something from 4shared last night and it stopped when it found a virus in the zip file as it was downloading.
I've just installed the latest update of WindowsBlinds and restarted my PC. Now I'm getting virus alerts!!! I also updated Impulse, and its still [deleted by mod]. The message was something about a rootkit, I've ignored it for now until I find out what to do.
Thanks I'll look at that.
Every time I sent an email to Stardock it bounces right back with an "over quota" reply. That's why I gave up and came here!
Since I renewed my subscription in August I haven't been able to update my WindowsBlinds because Impulse just won't do it. The version of WindowsBlinds I have at the moment is from July, Impulse keeps telling me there's a new update but won't download it. Is there another way to update WB without having to use Impules? If not I need to know how to get my money back because I'm not getting what I paid for!
