First let me say damn it's been a lot of summers since I've been here. I really miss this place. Glad to see some of the original members still active. Now, with that said, I remember this app. I used to love it. It's a shame it doesn't work on Win10. I also miss SysMetrix which you guys skinned as well. that was a great app.

It's amazing that after 2 years away Joeuser.com is still up and running. Granted the send to be a lot less activity than before but it's great to see this site alive. I see it's mostly Stardock articles, which makes sense, the days. I loved being here when there were healthy discussions about politics and current events, the arguments are so intense it was great. Sadly I see little to any political discussions. Well, times change but it's nice to see the site still up. Mayb
Just curious. Seeing as Microsoft will have a new Windows OS by the end of the year, Windows 10, I was wondering if there were any new plans for Object Desktop since Windows 10 won't focus so much on the "Metro" style UI as much as it did before. I am interested in renewing my Object Desktop Subscription and would like to know if there is something in the works. Thank you.
Hey terpfan, tova and Dr Guy. Nice to see you guys still around. Its been a long time. Place looks somewhat the same since I last came. As for the topic, in the end I have to agree with Tova, compromise is a must at this time as no one wants to give in even a little (well, maybe Obama as he has been giving in far too often) and this will simply screw everyone if a real compromise is not reached. But you know what? I wouldnt mind letting the Bush tax cuts go and see what would really ha
I see Draginol is still spanking them trolls for being trolls after so many years. Been a while since I have been on Joeuser but it seems things are not that much different around here. I see a lot of familiar faces still around. I love Stardock products. Was a bit mad a while back when I wasn't able to get my hands on programs I paid for thru ObjectDesktop because my subscription had expired and could not renew it at the time. But that's OK, I know it was my foul up so I paid
Well thank you roflm, I have been trying to access that section for a while. was never able to find it. Site does not exactly make it easy to find. Sad though I can see ObjectDock but not ObjectDesktop. I miss my animated backgrounds, my Windowblinds and my Fences Pro. Oh well. Thanks again.
roflm I thought I explained pretty well. I have win 7 64 bit and explorer crashes every time I install fences. what more explanation do you need? k10w3 already asked about past software I purchased and was literally told touch luck because I never downloaded the files before my subscription expired. As I said, I don't get the point of having Impulse (when it was from Stardock) to install the software when I had to download it anyways just to make sure I still had it after
I just don't know what the deal is. I am using Fences Public and no matter what I do it continues to restart my explorer to the point of disabling Fences. Makes me wonder how well known this issue is considering there is a feature that disables it because of the fact that explorer crashes. Can someone please help me out here. Fences is an awesome program and would really rather not uninstall it. I use to own the pro version but, Stardock rules about buying software are rather funn
What a great utility. I tend to take my laptop everywhere I go and have many family members with WiFi which i helped lock. This will definitely come in handy. Thanks.
Wow, you sound like you were holding all this in till now and then just released it all in one single huge post. I've been spending a lot of time trying to point out to people on Google+ how idiotic it is for them to be protesting the same businesses they use daily. How stupid it is to claim to be peaceful while violence continues to grow and all they do is blame the cops. ironically, in most cases the cops would not have to if they simply respected the laws. But, that is their goal, t
It's typical of Democrats and Liberals to scream foul towards Republicans and Conservatives even when they do nothing but it's OK for them to do it themselves. Do as I say not as I do is their modo.
Power supply is possible but the microwave idea may be it. I never noticed this happens quite often during lunch.
yrag: Not in browser. The PC screen just flashes as if the video drivers were going crazy. I guess the best way to describe it is it looks like someone taking a picture of my screen from the inside. Lightstar: minde doesn't go black, it just flickers, flashes. Wizard: not sure about a UPS, I don't have one on my PC as it's connected to the plugs built in to my cubicle where there are 6 PCs connected but doesn't mean there isn't one for my row. It's po
Ok so I kinda noticed that every so often the monitor on my job PC (and that of several other co-workers) tends to flash a few times several times a day as if someone was take a picture of my screen. Now I know there is software that can take pictures of your desktop but I doubt it would be as obvious as to have a flash-like feature. I doubt this company would want to make it so obvious they are taking snapshots at our desktops and why so often anyways? Not to mention, the amount of people wo
I am not really thrilled with the Metro look to be honest. I just think the tiles are too plain for my taste, especially after spending so much time with this community watching people create awesome, very details, beautify skins for everything on Windows. Perhaps if the tiles on the Metro display had more depth to them, perhaps the look of floating over the Metro display with more shadows and stuff, maybe I would find it more pleasing. But it just looks like a wall full of plain tiles, not e
Nitro said it all. Nuff said.
Interesting, these kinds of articles of yours are usually followed by blasting the current administration for such a thing. Wonder why you chose to leave this administration out of it. Hmmm.
But I thought this is not the time to be raising taxes? BTW, did you notice how many times he said "Pas this bill, right away"? He made some good points but did not fail to turn this speech into a "vote for me" campaign even though he said people are not currently interested in politics and that this was not him campaigning.
I hope someone actually figures out a way to install Android Honeycomb. In the mean time, how cool is it? Is it easy to use for movies and music? I would like to see what current apps there are for it.
A license for BBC? You have to pay for that channel even if you don't want it or watch it? What if you don't have the license, what happens?
It's shameful to think some people out there, especially politicians, still use this kind of language. I would love to see them provide proof of these allegations. These people should be liable for the comments they make and they should be able to provide proof of such comments. It's amazing to think Black people can not let go of racism. Sure, there are some people out there who are still racist, they are racist against Blacks, Hispanics, Asians and even against White people who are not raci
Hey Brad, would you consider showing some video of your car? For some reason i have always found other peoples reviews and videos to be more like movies and paid comments, in this case we have a real life test drive and opinion and some video would be really cool if you would do it. Maybe upload then to youtube so we can see what this car looks like in the real world. How long does it take to charge the car? Would it be feasible to have a small solar power set up just for the car for t
Trade is a 2-way street. What do you want exactly, that Canada/USA trade relations grind to a halt because people in the US should absolutely stop buying anything Canadian? What in return, should our own politicians refuse to buy anything made in the United States in retaliation? Or should we take such measures lying down, take a hit to our economy while you let politics impede over free market?
No one is talking about trade here. We are talking about hypocrisy. I
Also price, this can be a major factor in getting people to buy something other than a iPad. The real problem is not many people know what an Android Tablet is compared to an iPad. The name iPad is catchy and is related to the iPhone and iPod so it already has a huge user base and fame where as no one has ever heard of an android version of the iPod (except for the Samsung Galaxy Player that's not here yet, I think) and android phones although there are plenty out there are not well known eit
Betcha it's gonna be a new economic stimulus package!
That's what Rush said. Basically he is in a lose/lose situation here. Him and his people claim his stimulus plan worked and created jobs. It would make sense to simply do it again, maybe bigger. But if he does, and as most of us already know it didn't work at all, he will simply make things worse for himself putting another nail in his own coffin. But if he doesn't and tries something new then he'll be admitting
