Our condolences to you and your family. I still miss my Mom, I guess I always will.

I had a civics teacher that explained the balance the Electoral College has using a Dear Abby column. Communism: You have 2 cows. The government takes both of them and gives you part of the milk. (We will decide what you will have) Socialism: You have 2 cows. The government takes 1 and gives to your neighbor. (We will decide how much you can have) Fascism: You have 2 cows. The government takes both cows and sells you the milk. (We will let you pay f
Bush said he found it humorous. One guys insult is another guys humor. I say the guy throws like a little girl [e digicons]:bebi:[/e]
Ah yes the "fair share" arguement. There usually is someone that wants to tell you what your fair share is - but doesn't want you to tell them what their fair share is. What is fair about taking a big bunch of money from a few people, a stack of money from some people, and very little or no money from a lot of people? I'm interested in a flat tax or the fair tax. It would be interesting to see a real debate on these two approaches.
At my niece's house. We're bringing ham (for the non-turkeys), apple pie, and real whipping cream. Also, I'm on the clean up detail - so we get invited back next year! Lots of food, kids, and fun!
Will they start pulling books because they violate the Bible? If so, I have a list.
It is because Christian's do not burn down the publishing house. You're not thinking of rioting are you? "spineless mealy mouthed losers" The only think behind them and above them is their asses :HOT:
El-Duderino - It was also no different because only McCain and Obama were invited. Barr wanted to attend but he was denied. I simply can't respect any debate that doesn't respect the fact that there are more than two parties in this country.
Good point - way back when weren't hte Dems & Repubs the 3rd Parties? What ever happened to the Whigs? Thank you too for your comments
In one respect, it is no different from all the rest. The minute it was over the spin began.
AH yes - the spinners. Let's give them some wool - maybe we'll get a sweater out of the deal. Doc, Thank you for reading & replying. I've been reading more than commenting lately. You had invited me to join and I thank you for making me feel like one of the "Joe's"
Lulapilgrim - what set the Saddleback forum apart was that each candidate answered the same questions without the benefit of hearing the other one's answer. it would be just as interesting if questions about foreign policy, the environment, energy, etc. were asked. I would like to see more using this format. I want to hear what they think. I can decide for myself. Thank you for your r
Barbarat - I have heard McCain many times give Obama respect, yet when Obama heard he did not do well at this forum, he accused McCain of cheating...now who ils playing the old game of politics.. I agree - it's the officer and a gentleman background. McCain is more about the issues. Thank you for your thoughts - this is my first little blog. ;)
It is interesting that wanting to know Obama's view on an issue = the asker is a racist. For someone running on hope & change - he certainly is the same old stuff. This election cycle has really opened my eyes - wider! The Dems are all about greed, race, sex and America stinks. The elections come down to the choice between the two candidates. I'll take McCain at least he has an idea of what his postions are. I would like to see last night's forum used more often
I watched the Saddleback Forum with McCain and Obama. It was refreshing to hear questions that were not loaded and to have them answer without a bunch of bickering. So many of the debates that the media holds are useless. I think the MSM could learn from this. Ask a question and then let the guy answer. We can decide on our own which candidate is more to our liking. I thought McCain was concise.
Ideal age - around my age ;) Experience - enough to know that circumstances change, that as new evidence/facts come to light - it's wise to reconsideration and modify your position based on the facts.

Excellent layout of ther history. Oh yes - the peaceful people of Iran - of Islam. Very similar to the peaceful people of Vietnam. I read a book by one of our POWs. They explained it this way: In Vietnam you have your medical problems and your political problems. Vietnam takes care of the political problems first. Good old Carter - it's been open season on Americans ever since.
As a "typical white woman" clinging to my Bible and my God given Constitutional rights: Not a chance! No way! McCain - the one thing I am sure about - he won't abandon our military. Also - it seems he got the message on amnesty - but I'll have my e/mails at the ready to keep on the right path - the law applies to everyone or it
My husband said to pick up a backscratcher - it will be cheaper and you'll actually get your itch scratched. All I can say is "guilty"
92% of people who believe polls are factual are complete morons. The other 8% are idiots.
Good article - thank you. The MSM and the far-left doesn't understand. If they see him at all, it will be as a victim, and not as valorous.
I agree - that's a huge downside. If something unexpected happens, you're stuck. I think to move and setup a trailer is about $7-12K around here.
Interesting link. I knew some of this history. I'd bet the MSM is calling the authors racist, etc.
The Davidians were upgraded to terrorist because of politics. It aids in clouding and distracting the real issue of terrorism.
Hi Doc. The double standard always applies.
Good News - that's against the mainstream media's rules. Thanks for the update.
