I am playing this game again and am adopting the role of a patriarch who imbues champions with magic in order for them to be the 'fingers' in which he manipulates the realm. A big problem however is that notable locations are based off of my Avatars level and not the level of the champions. So while they are currently level 4+, they are unable to access notable locations 3+ because my avatar is level 2. Would you please change this?

adventuring could be a viable path with really nice item rewards (unit help) and fantastic locations that give youre kingdom an edge (city help) the slippery slope with making tech paths viable on their own is creating an environment where going all-in on one path is the best way to win.

Three items I would like to comment on from my current game: 1. The creatures researched in diplomacy tree: The game would be better if the three tiers provided a random available unit from a pool. At the least, each unit in the pool would represent an aspect of tactical combat (ex: strong essence, strong defense, ranged damage, strong melee attack, etc.). Hopefully the pool is expanded to provide a mixture of units that ar
couple of things are gnawing at me at work and the manual doesn't speak on it. do cities receive any type of bonus when the sovereign is stationed there? what qualifies as a "champion"? i tried to imbue essence on my free scribe (janusk?) and it wouldn't take TIA
I can confirm this tactic on 'small' map and 'normal' difficulty. agreed that current summons need to be weakened or at least bumped down the tree and new lower ones added.
You know I did not click the fertile land. I was not aware of that change and didn't see it mentioned in the help-book accessible in the game. I assumed it would be available via the list of build options. I will give it a shot after reinstall.
I guess I could try reinstalling it but decided to throw this on the wall in case it actually sticks. I can't buld a farm with various channelers and various races.
I'm a lurker here and not one to post. Wanted to let you know that I pre-ordered your game days after it was officially announced because of my appreciation for what you guys make, but more importantly for your relationship with your community. I put your company's TBS games on the same pedastel as BioWare's Single player RPG's and Valves FPS products. Sucks to wait, but a least I know it won't be crap, I knew that a year ago. I"m not sure if little
could someone be tasked with giving the towers some flare? the game is so streamlined I wouldn't mind a little more attention paid to the details. Instead of a tower with an orb, how about something like a wizard on top? Or maybe the towers are lower-half stone upper-half angel/demon hurling some appropriate missle/energy at things. it improves the game without making it more complex, or needing to test anything tool
Just curious. Thx
It my hopes that Stardock/GPG stick to their guns and keep DemiGod multiplayer focused. However. I believe it is fair to appease consumers who are taking an interest in the world/story that has been created. It creates a reason (if you will) to become more deeply imbedded in the product, and to derive more joy while playing (for some). My suggestion is that Cutscenes/movies/whatever are created, and reward after accomplishing certain goals (simple
I have solved the problem. I removed impulse and downloaded it again from their webpage. When attempting to install it, the installation failed because I did not have internet explorer 7.0 or better. I am a mozilla user. So I belive this was the cause of the error.
Here is my situation. I can load up impulse w/out problem. at the lower left-hand corner of the screen is a tab that says something to the effect of: downloading impulse update - paused at the top right there are these symbols: key, 2 computers, question mark. The 2 computers states that I am logged in as the proper account When clicking on the games icon, it shows every registered game I should have. When I attempt to download the upd
When i load up impulse, in the lower left is a tab that reads "downloading impulse update - paused. When I attempt to update Gal Civ II, I get a box that reads I should wait for impulse to finish connecting. I'm completely confused.
I have a lot of trepidation in regards to the art style. I'm not one for a comicy look on my strategy games. I can't stand the title either. They should just drop it and continue on with the 'civilization' franchise, renaming it to something akin to 'fantastic civilizations'. maybe stardock could just license the MoM theme music? :) Just keep it in its 8 (16?) bit format and it'll be gravvy. should be pretty
Combat mechanics in TA hasn't changed, so IMO the size still matters the most. But with changed mainenance costs and some mil SB support for speed they could be viable as suicidal defenders (like AntiMatter missile in GC-1, just not so cost-efficient).BR, Iztok
what a bummer. I understand the need to have the item requiring more research to be worth all the rp's, but I was hoping the fleet boosting techs were a counter-balance to those. Aside f
is it viable now to go with the armada/swarm approach or do you still need large ships for games that reach later techs.
In my first game I recieved 2 plague mega-events in the span of 20 turns. Torians....dead Mega events checkbox....dead
I was finally able to bust out ToA last night. Its been a little while since I've played gal civ 2 as I hung it up around DEC when ToA was being worked on. I've decided to choose one good, neutral, and evil civ to play and settledon Torian last night for my 'good' one. I haven't patched since the initial 'final' download. I haven't gotten too far, and have some questions about these guy and ToA in general ( I didn't play any of the beta's): I believe i'm noti
@ draginol I'd like to hear your thoughts regarding piracy and the increasing age of people who spend their entertainment dollar on PC games. I would imagine that as people get older they are more likely to purchase a product over pirating it. Do you think that games that wish to focus on being profitable will eventually gravitate towards the older gamer due to the above? Do you tink the genre' of your games is a big factor of the success you've achieved? The numb
when keyboards and mice are start popping up as gameplay tools for consoles, that is when its the beginning of the end of PC gaming.
I hope someone didn't pay that guy for the load of bs he just passed as journalism. First of all, as was mentioned, console games are piratable. Second of all, piracy is anything but the villian keeping the sales of PC titles down. Cost is number one. You try convincing joe-gameplayer that getting last years top of the line video card and one stick of memory is better then buying a Xbox 360 and the game he wants to play. Then try to convince him that the time he ha
"Most of the Stardock games team is working on the upcoming 4X fantasy strategy game which will be turn-based and have turn-based tactical battles and support multiplayer" it was unkind to speak of this and not have more information available. It may have satisfied the sadistic streak in you, but your karma has taken a hit.
I"ll begin negotiations with my wife. I'll be shooting for the 19th or the 26th for a start date.
