Reinstalling worked. Looks like the auto-install over the betas didn't clean everything up correctly.

I've got the latest Impulse 1.06 on Windows XP. The campaign plays fine but when I quit Elemental, restart and try to load any save the game crashes. Needless to say this means that the campaign is unplayable.
